Camping Pian dei Boschi

The site is fantastic however the reception was unpleasant and not friendly. I have both the CC card and the ACSI apps on my iPhone and both are active and current for use. The reception would not even look at the app to confirm the account status. So we had to pay the full price even though we should have received a discount. It’s my opinion that the person at reception should not be customer facing in any capacity. We made reservations in January for this stay and we were only offered one awful spot while many others were open and available for use.

We stayed here one night whilst touring. The children enjoyed the pool which had very strict hygiene rules including compulsory swimming hats (a good thing I would say, although they did allow smoking and cigarette ash in the pool area). The pitch was lovely and the staff at check in very friendly and helpful. However considering their strict hygiene rules around the pool, there was no toilet paper or hand soap in the sanitary block which I find very poor for a site charging this amount per night. The sanitary block was generally a bit tired and hot water was via a separate button which kept timing out making showering tricky. There was also no where to hang your clothes or keep them dry whilst showering. We had a drink in the bar which was very pleasant. But there was loud music until quite late (even though we were some distance from it).
