Camping Houtum is located in the Belgian Kempen, near Kasterlee. This medium sized campground is ideal for those seeking peace and quiet, hikers and nature lovers. In spring, all of Kasterlee is tinted orange during the pumpkin festivals. The high point is the pumpkin regatta, where participants kayak down the river in a hollowed out pumpkin.

  • The Silver Birch

    <p>The Silver Birch is our newest accommodation and can accommodate six people. We offer two versions of this, located at locations 41 and 44 and therefore close to each other.&nbsp;</p><p>In the chalets you will find a spacious living room, a dining table, bathroom and separate toilet and a kitchen. Together with the terrace, The Silver Birch forms an excellent base to fully enjoy your stay.</p><p>Both Silver Birches can only be booked with arrival on Monday or Friday and for a minimum of two nights. You can of course arrive a day later or leave earlier, but the price remains unchanged. Please indicate this in the comments when you book.</p>

  • Tipitent 'De Hoogstam'

    <p>Come and spend the night in one of our 2 tipi tents! As soon as you arrive at the tent field, you can already see 'De Hoogstamen' standing upright in both corners. There is room for 4 people to spend the night in each tipi tent. Everything necessary is provided, such as cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery, a dining table with 4 folding chairs, a Nespresso coffee machine, a kettle, electric cool box and 4 beds. Just opposite the tent area in the main building, there is a sanitary facility where you are welcome to use a toilet and shower. In short: everything is ready for you! Why wait?!</p>

We stayed 4 nights and we enjoyed the splendid facilities of the camping as well the environmentbwith plentybof walking and cycling opportunities. We would like to come back with the grandchildren to visit the kabouterbos, the wood of goblins. The toilets etc are heated so rhe campingbis an all weather resort.

Excellent site with five star amenities. Great pitch even the basic. No complaints whatsoever.

As a minor point being able to enjoy a coffee from the bar on a weekday.

On arrival the receptionist was very helpful and she spoke good English. The facilities were clean and warm. Nice walk to the river and near a busy cafe.

Floor of showers became very slippery when wet. Had to use a card key to get hot water for both shower and dish washing.
