This is a small site located just outside the city. It has easy access to the motorway and public transport nearby for getting into the city.
Toilets are reasonable and clean and plenty of them.
Pitches are clearly defined but a little cramped if you have an awning. There are some pitches with shade but most without.
Staff were helpful.
There is no shop or restaurant on site.
Good for a transit stop or short term for visiting the city but not an exciting place to stay.
Quiet town within walking distance
Good for stopover or visiting Brussels
Good showers but we’re some closed
No cards Cash only
Well located for bus service into central Brussels. Bus stops almost outside the gate and takes about 45 minutes.
Some of the pitches are quite small and sloping. Free Wifi hot spot at reception area. The sanitary/washing facilities are excellent and there are plenty of them for a relatively small site - you’re unlikely to wait for a shower here.
The site is located in a semi-urban area, but quiet and peaceful at night. Reception staff speak good English. No bungalows and tent campers well catered for. There is a restaurant nearby but we didn’t try it. Also a takeaway Pizza restaurant in Grimbergen.
A good site, recommended.
On arrival, the staff were friendly and helpful. The pitch we had was easy enough to utilise. We made some great friends there from a few different countries. The bus takes 1 hour to get into the centre of Brussels and the stop is very close to the campsite. Grimbergen does a fantastic beer and there is a very nice (yet expensive) restaurant pretty much on the front gate of the campsite. There are a few bars in Grimbergen which are nice to visit, especially if you like a good beer!
Better than average site with good sanitary facilities though the male block was closed so female block became unisex. Pitches a bit tight for larger vans. Owner helpful and informative and multilingual. Bus nearby. thought the site expensive.
Nice quiet campsite , toilets and showers very clean , owner very friendly and accommodating , bus stop to Brussels 5 minute walk from campsite. No local shop, leisure centre next door, great base to explore Brussels.
Local village is friendly and local pubs really nice. Would stop again , descent value for money.
We had a great overnight stay at Camping Grimbergen. The tent meadow is very nice and all the campers were very friendly and helpful. If you want to go to Brussels, the bus stop is near the campsite.
Staff is kind, facilities are nice and although the swimming pool is not a part of the campsite is just on the doorstep!
We will definetely go back again.
Nice camping, very closed to Bruxelles , very clean and new toilet-facilities. We liked to stay in this camping
Inspector of campsite completely wrong. No swimming pool, restaurant, washing machines or dryers on site as apparently stated; when we confronted the abrupt and rude owner he stated they were next door off site, but this is not on his site, neither owned by him. The pool was also not open and looked abandoned. No choice of pitch and limited groceries (wine and cans). barrier was ridiculous; shut from 11:30-2:00 for people already on the site, no key cards (too "expensive") so you would have to wait until 2 outside with your car or leave it and walk all the way to your pitch. A few positives - excellent sanitary facilities and good, strong wifi. Description is very wrong and should not be gone by, as we were put off when we arrived because we chose this site on the facilities of the swimming pool, restaurant and washing machine/dryers.
Campsite is small but on a very nice location just few minutes from Brussels. It has very nice toilet facilities, but it doesn't offer much in the food/drink department. Also official hours at the reception desk are not accurate. You may wait for a little while until the receptionist comes from his "break" and opens the reception desk for you.
