It is a well situated campsite, both to Tournai and to the swimming complex next door ( Half price to campsite) we cycled into the city and around the area for four days. Delightful . The pitches were not huge but nice, with water and electricity. Highly recommended.
Very pretty campsite. It is now on my favorite list. Stuff is a bit grumpy, but I do expect camping site stuffs to be a bit grumpy on a such beautiful place
A little road noise and people attending the local aqua park
We stayed here twice during the same holiday. The second time there were substantial renovations to the washrooms which may improve their quality but not their number. We suspect that if the site were full the washrooms would be found lacking in capacity. The facilities are warm and there is ample hot water even during sustained cold weather. The pitches are well marked but, owing to steep kerbs it was sometimes difficult to access them, especially with the narrow access roads. The site does suggest caravans should not exceed 7 metres in length. Longer outfits would have a limited choice of pitches. The site is next to a swimming pool complex and a busy suburban road which means that traffic noise is present but not overly intrusive, it is quiet at night. Tournai is quite interesting and Lille, a bustling historic city, is easily accessed by train from the station, both about a half hour's walk from the site.
Convenient nice little site within walking distance of the nice pretty town of Tournai. The pitches are a decent size and all hedged off for privacy. The site is well kept and the toilet block is clean and well maintained. There is a swimming pool next door for the kids with a few water slides. Overall a nice quiet site will stay again.
We loved this small campsite, stayed for one week, the facilities are kept very clean- cleaned and supplied with toilet papier and paper towells daily. Each spot has its own light, water and electric and is surrounded by lovely hedges. There is a brilliant swimming pool with 4 water slides next door (which offers a Huge discount to the Campers. Our kids love to swim so we spent hours in the pool. You can also rent waterbikes on the beautiful lake next to the pool and there is a lovely playground next to the pool and lake. Very good value and a lovely place to come.
We have a cycling holiday every March/April, based at this campsite. This is Belgium in early spring, often wet and cold. The warm shower block, and the warm washing up area are both very welcoming facilities when it's cold outside.2016 saw the introduction of free wifi, an excellent addition. I have seen the remarks about the management, in our experience having visited 4 times, we have only had kind, helpful contact. If you're English try speaking another language, my French is terrible but attempts are appreciated, how often do English campsites speak the language of their continental visitors? We hope to visit this lovely campsite many times in the future.
Nice site with large pitches and high hedges which is let down a little by the lack of toilet paper and soap in the toilets. No wifi and the guy on reception doesn't smile a lot and didn't seem keen on speaking English. Very cheap for a large tent and car with no electricity. Very handy for the city centre and was nice and quiet at night.
Not enough toilets or showers are provided, must be difficult in high season! Pitches good, need an adaptor for the electric if you only have a normal plug. Lovely walk along the canal into the centre.
(Tourist office best for toilets).
