ECEN-19
ASCI Review

Sent two emails requesting availability for two pitches. Received no reply, therefore telephoned and spoke with reception who had very little English.

Arrived on site, we were allocated two pitches, one of which was already allocated to someone else. We found two available pitches, sited vans, electric not working on one of the pitches, had to use another pitches electric point. Informed reception, this was not rectified during our stay of 3 days. The danger of this being someone arrives on pitches and switches leads back, as should be and you come back after day out, to a defrosted freezer.

This was not our first visit to this site, we had stayed 3 months earlier on our journey south and found no problem. Unfortunately the decline in cleanliness of toilets, which was apparent by the smell, the showers now only had tepid water to shower in and no means to change to personal requirement. What was a nice site 3 months earlier, has changed for the worse.

The best thing about this site is its location which is in easy walking distance of the town. the Sanitary blocks are looking a bit tired and cleanliness is an issue. The keypad locks on the doors were a nightmare with some people arriving with their towels etc. and unable to gain access and returning to their Vans

we have stayed here before on our way to Germany, the toilets/showers have a nasty smell although very clean, no paper towels provided. and when we wanted to leave we had to wait 15+ minutes for the barrier to be opened, even though the lady knew we were there. apart from that we like the site

We stayed here for 4 nights lovely quiet very well maintained site. Lady on reception very helpful. Easy walking distance to the lovely town definitely worth a visit .

A perfect site for a stopover or local touring. The facilities were first class
We would definitely stop here again
As we were out of season we were given a discount even with our ACSI card

A renovated Municipal site next to the small picturesque town of Rochefort and close to river. No information or plans of the town were given at check-in and had to wait for office to open at 9am before we could leave. The site was generally good, but the new fixtures/plumbing not well thought out.
Some noisy kids at playground, but Euro 2016 football crowds in town soon drowned that noise! No information given as to use of pool -which is NOT on site. Stayed for 2 nights, but would not go again. Not 4*

Stayed here for one night in May 2016. Very friendly and helpful staff. Being a former airline pilot loved to hear the military jets flying around during the afternoon I stayed thee. Toilet & shower facilities good. Some of the other campers very friendly also which was a nice change to some sites.

Check in easy but no info given. No plan of campsite, no plan of town and no advice on quickest route into town, which when you find it is only a few minutes. Real problem with noisy kids. Playground right next to toilet blocks but children (under 10) playing until at least 11pm with no supervision from guardians or campsite staff. They also played football in the toilet blocks. This is unacceptable. Site itself is good with free pool also open to the public across the road. Not sure, early July, whether this was school holidays but we would not stay again at this time of year. Bar with snacks was fine.

we used this site on the third weekend in June, we could not fault the site in any way, good pitches very clean toilets staff members OK and would visit again any time other than the third weekend in June, because unless you like Belgium pop music till 4am playing at 110 decibels avoid the weekend when the music festival is on.

This is a pleasant campsite with good facilities, although not all are available in the low season. The pitch was a good size and was well kept grass.
