Campsite Le Grand Large is located on the west coast of the Cotentin peninsula, in the dunes of Normandy. You camp among the dunes, with a wide sandy beach. The campsite exudes order and tranquillity, with manicured lawns that are demarcated by hedges. At the campsite you can swim in an outdoor pool, a heated indoor pool with sliding roof and a paddling pool.

Orderly and peaceful campsite

The campsite is clearly arranged. There are camping pitches on either side of the lanes, which are delimited by hedges. The camping pitches are all the same size. This fixed pattern offers not only orderliness, but also privacy and tranquillity. There are fifty rental accommodations on the edge of the campsite.

Swimming pools

The swimming pools are located directly to the right of the entrance. This water park consists of three pools: an outdoor pool, a heated indoor pool with sliding roof and a paddling pool. Along the edges are sunbeds for sun worshippers. You'll also find the large paddling pool. Furthest from the entrance is the heated indoor pool with sliding roof, where you can also relax in the bubbles of the whirlpool. A small snack bar with terrace is adjacent to the pools.

Just sanitary

The large sanitary building is located at the front of the campsite. In this building, partly made of brick, partly made of natural stone, you will find neatly grouped sanitary facilities. Plants and flowers provide a colourful atmosphere in the sanitary spaces.

Liked - We had a great pitch right by the beach. Beach felt safe and was good for boarding. Great facilities for rinsing wetsuits and boards. Friendly, competent staff. Good pools and snack area. Handy little shop.

Disliked - All shower heads need replacing in both men’s & ladies facilities. Snack bar would be open before July. Maybe update products for sale in supermarket

Liked - A fabulous friendly campsite, superbly clean and maintained. Great staff and a brilliant vibe on site. The beach is wonderful, if you have surf boards or body boards pack them.

Liked - Staff great. Very helpful, a good team.
Good for dogs. Pet friendly. Location perfect if you like the beach and what dog doesn’t!
Pool super and bar alongside helps if you have a dog.
Disliked - Pool open at 0900? And also could be open in September. Snacks could be available in June.
