Camping-Resort Allweglehen is a splendidly located terraced camping site on a mountainside with a fabulous view of the Alps. The camping site is located in Berchtesgaden, South-East Bavaria. You camp here in the northern Alps, on the boundary of the Berchtesgaden National Park and not far from the well-known Königssee. The camping site is not only geared towards the 'usual' camping guest, but also towards guests with an interest in the comprehensive wellness programme.
The pitches are spacious, clearly demarcated and have connections for electricity and water (including drainage). Not all pitches provide shade – something to keep in mind in hot summers.
Rental accommodation with a view
Since 2014, Camping-Resort Allweglehen has had new chalets and wooden lodges. Each unit has its own terrace and offers an unrestricted view of the famous Watzmann mountain (2713 m). Each chalet houses up to six persons and is fully furnished. The wooden lodges accommodate a maximum of three persons.
The camping site not only offers modern sanitary facilities, newly installed in 2017, but there is also a comprehensive wellness centre (complete with sauna, massage, thermal baths, beauty centre and steam baths).
Cosy restaurant with live music
The camping site has a good and cosy restaurant with an extensive menu, including take-away meals. The restaurant can seat approximately one hundred guests. The open fireplace creates a homely atmosphere. The daily changing menu offers mainly regional specialities. Weekly events are organised in the restaurant, such as the traditional 'Schuhplattler' folk dance. The barbecue evenings and live music evenings are also great fun.

Very nice camping, very much can recommend. New sanitary building, great views, Wifi works well, pool and restaurant.
We stayed three nights only because site was full and we didnt have reservation.
For smaller kids recommend to build a bigger play area.
Bien situé pour visite de la région.
Bonnes informations touristiques par personnel sympathique.
This campsite had clean modern facilities and a reasonable pitch. Unfortunately on leaving we were charged extra for a 'comfort' pitch that we hadn't been told about, or asked for. I requested this be removed from the bill but was refused by the owner. We were charged for connection to electricity, and also for WiFi which is advertised as free. The overall bill including taxes was more than 40% higher than the Acsi rate. The staff were generally pleasant. Unfortunately the vast majority of dealings were with the lady receptionist who was unhelpful and intolerant, even before I queried the bill. This is not how camping should be, and is the first time in staying at many dozens of other Acsi sites that we have experienced anything like it.
We were very disappointed in the site which advertised as 4*. The hill up is a problem and a long walk up and down if you get the bus into Salzberg. The pitches are mainly cut out of the mountain side, so it was rock and we were not able to peg our awning down. There was no shade and like a previous comment our bill seemed to rise up with extras. They appear to charge for wifi even though it is free in the bar. Nowhere to sunbathe around the pool. Nice views though.
Receptionist we got spoke no English and wasn't particularly helpful. She didn't tell us about the different pricing structures for the pitches and we got a comfort pitch. When the tourist tax was added we ended up paying much more than the advertised CCA-price. In addition, we were charged for WiFi even though the ACSI guide listed this as free. On the night we wanted to use the restaurant, it was closed due to a "Beach Party" so can't comment, but it looked to be very nice. Despite all this, we liked the site and it was good for visiting Salzburg, Konigsee and the Eagles Nest. Beware of the very steep approach road with hairpin bend - some caravans couldn't make it up the hill.
