At a distance of 7 km from the coastal town of Castiglione della Pescaia, in Italian Tuscany, lies the attractive Village Baia Azzurra family campsite. This luxury, quiet campsite is idyllically located on an azure bay of the Mediterranean Sea. The campsite is characterised by the abundance of vegetation and the lush flowering plants and shrubs. The area with scattered forests is clearly touristy, but also pristine. Camping with (art)towns such as Lucca, Siena, Montepulciano and other pearls on your doorstep.

Pleasant pitches

The pitches are well maintained and vary in size (50 - 100 m2). Depending on the pitch they may offer much or little privacy. The surface is made of sand and is compact (bring a hammer). There are some one hundred rental bungalows. The sanitary facilities of the campsite are clean and contemporary, with attractively designed children's sanitary fittings.

Swimming in paradise...

You can enjoy yourself in the stunning swimming pool, deserving of the name of swimming paradise, complete with footbridge over the water. It looks comfortable and attractive because of its playful design. It is in full sun and is sheltered in some spots by bushes and trees. Unwind on one of the blue/white loungers with sun umbrellas. You will find them on the water's edge. Prefer to swim in the sea? You can reach the beach via a 200 m footpath. It is very quiet there, but it is not an official private beach of the campsite.

...and heavenly food

The campsite has a fine restaurant with extensive menu. Rather just have a quick bite and a drink? Head for the pizzeria or the bar.

Travelling party: Couple

Wat een ellende!
Vreselijk onvriendelijke ontvangst. We moesten de hele som betalen voor we de camping op mochten. Ons was gezegd dat we zelf een plek mochten kiezen. Helaas werden we na veel gescheld en geschreeuw gewoon ergens achter op de camping gedropt. Daar sta je \" y basta!\" Geheel onder een dak van bomen (wat wij absoluut niet wilden) Verder vielen hier een heleboel luizen uit zodat je alleen onder de luifel kon zitten. Voor en achter ingeklemd tussen andere. Animatie tot achter op de camping luid en duidelijk te horen.
\'s Avonds tot 1.00 uur herrie! Aan het strand kun je voor veel geld bedjes huren. Op de strook waar je vrij mocht liggen was het zo vol dat je amper nog een zandkorrel kon vinden. In het zwembad stonden 2 oppassers met een fluitje. Het was een waar fluitconcert. Hier mocht echt helemaal niets. Hoewel we 10 dagen geboekt hadden zijn we de 3e dag gevlucht. Dit nooit meer!!

Travelling party: Couple

Wat een ellende!! Deze camping 10 dagen geboekt. Bij het reserveren werd verteld dat je een soort plaats boekt en wanneer je komt kun je in deze categorie een plaats uitzoeken. Bij aankomst een uur in de rij gestaan en voor we überhaupt de camping op mochten moest het hele bedrag betaald zijn. Hierna moesten we achter een medewerker aanrijden. Helaas dus niet zelf een plek zoeken. Wij werden achter op de camping gedropt, er kwamen nog een paar medewerkers al scheldend en vloekend helpen de caravan neer te zetten. Wij stonden hier geheel onder een dak van bomen (wat wij dus absoluut niet wilden) Het heeft wel iets van een bewoonde caravanstalling, zo dicht als je op elkaar gepakt staat. Bij de receptie nogmaals nagevraagd of er ergens een andere plek vrij was. Hier wilde ze niet eens naar kijken. Zij maakten de planning en dit was niet te wijzigen. Basta!! Uit de bomen viel behoorlijk wat ongdierte. Dit had je dus in je drinken, eten en overal waar je het niet wilde hebben. Sanitair wel mooi en nieuw, alleen niet bijzonder schoon.
Naar het strand gelopen om daar even te kijken. Hier staan dus in rijen dik de ligbedjes naast elkaar die je voor veel geld moet huren. Tussen de campings is er de mogelijkheid om gewoon op het strand te liggen. Deze strook is maar een paar meter breed en geheel vol met mensen (geen zandkorrel meer te zien). Dan toch maar naar het zwembad. Dit ziet er leuk uit maar je mag er niets. Hier lopen 2 mensen met fluitjes rond. De animatie was tot achter op de camping nog zéér goed te horen.
De 3e dag van onze vakantie zijn wij vertrokken. Dit nooit meer!!!

Fantastische camping. Ruime plaatsen, schitterend sanitair en prachtig zwembad. Dicht bij zee en prima restaurant. Auto op bewaakte parkeerplaats. Toch zijn wij na 5 dagen, door de in grootte getalen aanwezige muggen vertrokken
