This site has gone down hill so much, it cost us twice the price of last year, the showers are not usable, it\'s a nice temperature but the water pressure is so height you can not stand underneath it, I did put our pots and pans in it and it jet blasted then clean enough without detergent. They allow generators to be run 24/7 and loud music to be played making relaxing there impossible, you could also smell the drugs being smoked, it\'s very much a site where they screw every penny out of you but no staff patrolling the site to make it a enjoyable stay, seems any thing goes as long as they have your money. The word is the site has been sold to Plopsaland next door so I suppose they don\'t care how they treat customers as the site is no longer open after this season, if it is I would not recommend this site at all.
I\'m 63 years old and in all the years I have been on holiday this is the worse one I have ever had.

A basic site but for the price is excellent. The toilets are spotless but take your own paper. It\'s close to the motorway so easy getting to any where, it\'s only a 20 minute drive from Dunkirk ferry with a caravan.
The only genuine gripes we had were there\'s no internet, if you don\'t pick the right spot to camp it\'s a really long walk to the toilet/shower block. A nice friendly site, we have been there twice now & will return again.

A lovely quiet campsite, no pool, no club with entertainment, just pleasant surroundings, friendly staff and campers, immaculately clean showers and toilets, excellent value and a great location. Convenient grocery shopping and petrol station, and the site is easy to reach from the motorway.

Initially we planned to only stay for 4 days but we enjoyed the site and easy access to everything we needed that we stayed 10 days and really enjoyed the site.Toilet facilities were good and cleaned regularly during the day along with the showers, the onsite shop was small and limited to what it sold but was convenient but there is a Lidl supermarket approx half mile away which was ideal. Staff were friendly and polite and always helpful. Luc ( owner ) explained all rules and regulations on arrival and made us feel welcome straight away. Other campers were always friendly. On the whole and to sum up Ter Hoeve its a great little campsite whether for the overnight stay or longer, we will definately return to this site and we would have no problems in recommending Ter Hoeve to friends. Thank you to all on the site ( staff and campers ) for making our holiday pleasant and enjoyable and we will see you next year. Andy and Lisa ( UK ).

Travelling party: Family with children, 12 - 18 years

Not a good campsite for the cost. No hot showers, only 4 amps so had to boil kettle in toilets in a 2 pin point 2 meters from ground. Could not use microwave or kettle. Electric points very old. Owner not very helpful. No toilet paper in the toilets. Toilets not very clean and cold. Open to the elements. Very expensive for poor facilities.

Prima winkeltje. Aardig receptie personeel.

Travelling party: Group of friends

Only stayed 1 night in our VW campervans. Site was clean and quiet, and the owner was very helpful on email before we arrived. I explained we would be arriving around 10pm from the ferry, and he waited up to let us in.
We only used the site as a base before we carried on, on our long journey. It was easy to find and very reasonable.
The playground was ok, our 2 year old Daughter played for a while, but it had seen better days.
The toilets and showers were clean, but you had to take your own toilet roll and soap to wash your hands.
Would recommend though.

Travelling party: Seniors

We have been visiting since Christmas 2003, and absolutely love it. The site owners are always there to help you any way they can, they're fabulous people. Security is very good. We have a drink sometimes near the entrance, with other campers from Europe. As we occaisionally use the toilets and showers, they are very clean, but as we come and go at all times. We tend to use our caravan facilities. The sites laundry room is also value for money. Lots to do locally, and the Tram ride to Ostende is value for money. Get the local De Panne brochure and see whats happening all the way along the coast to Ostende, and when.

Got to the site at 1 am and parked in the visitors carpark, then checked in the next morning. Met with Luc the owner, and was effeciently checked in. Pitches are well drained and planned out, grounds well kept and toilets and shower block spotless. Only downside was the showerblock is closed for 4hrs from 12 untill 4pm. Theres obviously a good reason for this, maybe it's the regions peak electricity time. Will be going back soon and taking the bikes, plenty of nice places to cycle to. The trams are alco a great mode of transport, you can travel on a day pass the whole length of the belgian coastline for 5 euros, or 6 if you buy your ticket on the tram. This is a well run family business, keep up the good work!

Basic site but what a good find! Large grass pitch for our motorhome. Close to the town to walk into and lots of restaurants near the beach. Small shop on site - but we didn't use this so do know what it sells! Bar opposite campsite is small but friendly. Three further restaurants very close by. The owner was very friendly and could not do enough to make the stay happy. Spoke very good English. Excellent security and very clean site. Kids large amusement parkn nearby. We've no kids but there were certainly bigh queues on Sunday when we left.
