Large holiday site behind coast road and buildings. Mainly permanent cabins and caravans, but with a few touring pitches near entrance (there may be more elsewhere that we did not find). Electricity, water and wastewater facilities on each pitch. Touring pitches are of a generous size, with no dividers between adjacent pitches and hedges between successive rows. Male and female toilets are in same room and toilet paper is not supplied. Chemical toilet emptying is into the motorhome services ground drain, which was blocked during our stay. Although Bredene is a popular tourist resort, most facilities remain closed out of season.
Stayed at Easter 2016. Very friendly family run site; the owners could not be more helpful. Facilities are reasonable without being superb; it was a bit cold at times in the toilet block! Location is great, We had a car but Motorhomers could easily get around using the light railway. We would definitely return.
We stumbled on this site on the last night of our week long trip to Benelux in November. The lady who met us was excellent, showing us to a pitch of our choice, explaining the facilities and offering advice on the area. The heated sanitary facilities were of a very high standard. The site is a short walk to the beach and the tram passes virtually outside the gate. As the weather was so good while we were there, we walked along the beach to Ostend, enjoying the scenery, which included Fort Napoleon and WW2 gun batteries. When we reached the port, we took the free ferry across into the city centre and walked the length of the magnificent promenade, which is lined with bars and restaurants. The main shopping centre is behind the promenade and offers a great selection of shops. Will we go back? Most definitely!
