Campsite Warande ***

General information
Guide price €23.00

Warande is a camping site under the gentle sun on the Belgian coast. The camping is mainly geared towards families wanting to enjoy the beach. The camping site itself is very quiet, with some play equipment for children, but no organised activities. The town of Bredene is within walking distance if you want a bite to eat or a drink.

Ideal location by the sea

Because of its ideal location, camping sites in this area are side by side. Camping Warande, therefore, has other camping sites on either side. The owners will welcome you in the brick reception building, cheerfully surrounded by red geraniums. The grounds look open and most pitches are located in full sun, although there are some pitches where you can sit in the shade of a tree. The camping site is quiet and attracts mainly beach visitors, who are not really interested in entertainment on the camping site.

Level, neat and quiet

You reach your pitch via compacted pathways. Some pitches are demarcated with hedges, but most pitches do not have this advantage. The terrain is nice and level with well-tended grass. In addition to caravans, motorhomes and tents, rental accommodation (mobile homes) can be found on a separate section of the camping site.

This is particularly suitable for families with growing children. In addition to the beach and the sea there are some fun playgrounds. There are petanque courts as well.

Close to the beach

To reach the beach, you have to cross the through road via a pedestrian and bicycle bridge. You then have to pass the dune belt. All in all it is less than 600 m.

Travelling party: Seniors

Very very disappointed, we stayed for 4 nights at the end of March. This site is now really geared towards static and seasonal pitch users.Site has long term problems with hot water and showers. Basically there was not any, plumber was working on the system for two days eventually hot water was produced but it was from a rusty supply judging by its colour and small. The sanitary were very modern. Good pitch with direct mains water supply and drainage. Wifi was dreadful. The camp staff did attempt to get the supplier to actually provide a service. Plus point is the proximity of Brugge

Initially struggled to find the site as I didn\'t go far enough down the road. Very helpful and friendly reception organised an escort to our pitch which was the concrete pad for a static. It was perfect for our 9m motorhome, with all services and plenty of space all around. A very quiet and sunny spot.
Short walk into the town with restaurants, bars and supermarkets and cross the tram lines to the beach.
Toilet facilities plentiful and spotless, take your own toilet paper. There is a brand new and very modern shower block in the middle of the site with a 50c slot to use.
Short tram ride or good bike ride into Oustend which has a great marina and seafront.
Stayed 3 nights amongst the long stay statics which all looked brand new, and the residents cut the grass around their units and kept it all spotless.
Great site and would highly recommend
