Camping Valkanela is a large and versatile campsite on the Adriatic coast, a few kilometres north of the town of Vrsar. At this bustling campsite you will find everything you need for a complete and carefree camping holiday: several restaurants and bars, swimming pools and plenty of entertainment for young and old.

Pitches by the sea

On the campsite you have plenty of choice of pitches. For example, there are more than 1,200 touring pitches on the site. The closer to the sea, the more expensive the pitches, but also the more luxurious they are. If you want a standard pitch, you are in the beautiful forest, a little further from the water. The choice is also wide in mobile homes. Some of the rental accommodations even have small (shared) swimming pools on their doorstep.

For the whole family

Close to the beach is the large swimming pool. The whole family can go here, as there are several pools. Cool down in a deeper pool, a separate pool for the slightly older children and a spacious paddling pool. Around the pools you can sunbathe or lie in the shade on the lawn. The swimming pools are more often the centre of the entertainment team, which in the summer months provides a full entertainment programme for campers of all ages.

Adriatic Sea

The campsite has built its pitches around a beautiful bay of the Adriatic Sea. Because of this, campers have access to a long (secured) pebble beach with sunbeds, from where they can take a dip in the water. There are small pontoons at the campsite where you can moor your boat, and nearby the water sports possibilities are endless.

mit Freunden eine Woche am Camping Valkanela verbracht, alles wunderbar, obwohl man es dem Personal anmerkt, dass sie genug haben (Mitte September)
an der Beach Bar wäre ein WC schon sehr angebracht !!!

Valkanela war auf unserer Istiren Rundreise mit Hund unser Lieblingsplatz

Kompliziert war es unseren Platz zu finden, der Platz ist sehr groß, wir brauchten fast 45 Minunten ihn zu finden und anderen ging es auch so, es wäre schön wenn es Begleitung gäbe bei der Ankunft. Nach 3 Tagen fanden wir uns aber zurecht.

Die Sanitärgebäude kann man nicht direkt bewerten weil es einige gibt und sie nicht den selben Standard aufweisen. Unseres war in die Jahre gekommen, es wurde überflutet, knapp ausgetrocknet, das Wasser stand dann in den Ecken. Auf den Fensterbänken der Duschkabinen lagen gebrauchte Rasierer, vor den Gebäudezugängen Altkleider statt Fußmatten. Vor den Mülleimern die in der Nähe waren, lagen die ganze Woche volle Windeln. Natürlich eine Sauerei die da hin zu schmeißen aber sie nicht weg zu räumen ist auch nicht fein.
Wie gesagt, an anderen Stellen sah es besser aus. Auf jeden Fall konnte man sie nutzen, man härtet ab.

Mit dem Personal hatten wir wenig zu tun und wenn dann war der Umgang o.k. In den Restaurants sehr freundlich.

Kinder kommen auf Ihre Kosten, das Schwimmbad ist toll.

Die Möglichkeiten im Meer zu schwimmen ist 1A.
Überall gibt es sichere Ein-und Ausstiegsmöglichkeiten und Sonnenplateaus.
Es gibt für Kids auch einen Sandstrand, Minigolf, alles mögliche zum mieten, Ausflüge kann man buchen, Langeweile kommt da nicht auf.

Die Restaurants und die Bar sind wirklich klasse, gutes Essen, gute Drinks, schöne Sitzgelegenheiten und nettes Personal.

Der Laden war schlecht sortiert aber vorhanden, gut sortiert ist der Backwarenstand.

Klasse sind auch die Möglichkeiten Vrsar-Osera zu besuchen und Fulkanela. Vor allem Vrsar-Osera ist empfehlenswert und auf dem Weg dorthin einen Abstecher in den Skulpturenpark machen.

Wir sind mit Hund gereist. Es gibt 3 Hundestrände, wobei der mittlere, der Hauptstrand, der beste ist den ich in Istrien sah. Der am Hafen ist nicht so toll und wer wilde Hunde hat kann gut auf den Strand Richtung Fulkanela gehen, es geht Stufen runter in eine kleine Bucht, da können sie toben.

Seltsam war, dass Camper abgewiesen wurden mit der Aussage „ausgebucht“ obwohl wirklich viele Plätze frei waren und zwar die ganze Woche, das sollte nicht sein, die Menschen waren teilweise verzweifelt weil sie nicht wussten wo sie stehen sollen.

Der Campingplatz verfügt über einen Hafen mit Kran was eine ideale Kombination darstellt (Camping & Boot) und seit heuer auch über eine Tauchbasis.

Un camping qui ressemble plus à un village complet. Nous ne sommes pas fan de ce genre d’endroit mais sur la côte istrienne tous les campings sont comme ça! Après avoir fait au moins 10 campings qui étaient plein (il faut absolument reserver ici, l’itinérant il ne connaissent pas!) c’est le seul camping qui gentiment nous a donné un emplacement. Enfin on nous a laissé rentrer pour se placer ou on voulait sur l’immense colline ou c’était un peu l’anarchie. Accès à la mer exceptionnel. Par contre attention de ne pas se perdre en allant aux sanitaires. A la reception il y a minimum 45mn d’attente…
