Camping Sokol is one of the better spots from where to visit Prague without a hassle. You can get to virtually anywhere in town by public transport. You can buy train tickets on the camping site. Transport to the train station by mini bus is provided free of charge. The camping site itself is an oasis of peace; a location amidst nature where everything is well organised. Children can also enjoy themselves here and food and drinks are available at the camping site.
Green, tranquil camping site
The camping field is located in the centre of the camping site, surrounded by mobile homes and greenery. You are camping in green surroundings, creating a feeling of tranquillity. This is also due to the good organisation. The spacious and numbered fields vary in size. There are pitches with and without shade. Hedges and trees offer some privacy. You will meet many people here from the Czech Republic and from all over Europe. The latter group shares a common interest to visit Prague.
Swimming and playing
There is a well maintained swimming pool with separate toddler pool. The pool is located in the sun, with ample surrounding space to relax on the loungers. The camping site organises various excursions and there is an entertainment team for the children.
The shop has a fairly wide assortment with daily fresh bread. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. This can be eaten inside or al fresco on the terrace. The sanitary facilities are luxurious and spacious, with provisions for people with disabilities in the same building.

We were here during easter this year. Everything was perfect, incl. wather. Staff professional, excelent food and quiet place, easy traveling to the city centre by train.
We will come back in sommer to try the swimming pool.
Arrived late at night gates were open staff in restaurant (voyte) was very friendly and informative. The staff in reception were lovely and very helpful. The campsite is very relaxed and peaceful and the shower facilities are some of the best we have seen on our European road trip. The hot water which is great, we are enjoying our stay here and would recommend.
Very nice campisite, close to downtown of Prague. New toilets and showers...LUXURY. Free shuttle to train station. We were satisfied. Thank you.
Quite a comfortable campsite. Very friendly and helpful staff. Office open long hours, providing all the necessary info and tickets to visit Prague and other sightseeing places. At low season, naturally, not all the facilities were available (swimming pool, restaurant open only in the evening). But the place is clean, well-looked after, safe Clean toilets, free showers. Next door is a lake and a wonferful park, which makes it easy to walk a dog. In general, a cosy place just minutes from the very center of Prague.
We arrived in the middle of April and used the Camping Card. There were extra charges for the 'Green Tax' and 'Tax' that made the price up to about €20 per night. The shop and restaurant and pool should all have been open, but the first 2 weren't (though they sold us charcoal anyway) and the pool was being redone, so was just a big hole in the ground. Facilities could have been cleaner. Internet is €4 a day and washing €3.5 for each machine. Transport into the centre is very easy.
