Ballum Campsite is a quiet, sheltered natural campsite. The campsite is located in the heart of the Vadehavet (Wadden Sea) National Park in very rural surroundings. From here it is not far to the Wadden Sea island of Rømø (with the widest sandy beach in Europe) and the historical towns of Ribe and Tønder . The campsite forms an ideal base for exploring the thinly populated region.

Spacious campsite

The campsite consists of clearly separated fields each offering space for several tents and caravans. A new circular-shaped terrain has been laid out for motorhomes. The sizes of the pitches vary from 100 to as much as 240 m2.

Relaxing in a rustic chalet

Ballum Campsite has four chalets which can be rented throughout the year. These rustic wooden chalets are in a quiet location and offer ample privacy. The chalets can be booked per night or per week. You can make use of all the campsite facilities. The chalets are suitable for three (type B) or four/five people (type A). Rental tents and caravans are also available.

Dogs are welcome

The campsite owners are real dog lovers. That is why your four-legged friends are welcome at Ballum Campsite. The campsite has a fenced-off leash field where you can play with your dog, It is also easy to walk the dog outside of the campsite. On the camping grounds, the dog must be leashed; this is not necessary near your camping equipment.

Entertainment for children

For the children there is a recently renovated playground which includes playground equipment and a bouncy castle. There is also a lovely area where you can read or watch TV. As of recently, you now also have the possibility to play a game of table football or darts.

Travelling party: Family with children, 4 – 12 years

Wir waren auf Fahrradtour dort (1 Erw., 2 Kinder).
Aufgrund Windstärke 8-9 mussten wir unseren Aufenthalt verlängern, was problemlos ging. Es ist sehr sauber und sehr gut dort auszuhalten, auch ungeplant.

Ein sehr schöner Campingplatz mit großzügigen Plätzen in üppiger Natur. Sanitäranlagen sehr sauber und gepflegt und in mehr als ausreichender Anzahl. Außerdem mehrere Kochplätze und ein sehr großer Kühlschrank für die Zeltcamper sowie ein Gefrierschrank. Abschließbare Kabinen mit warmem Wasser und ausreichend vielen Haken (!!!) (Hier merkt man, dass es den Besitzern ein echtes Anliegen ist, dass auch im Detail alles gut ist). Highlight (besonders für meinen Sohn) war aber die Spülmaschine - ja, Sie lesen richtig: es gibt zwei Spülmaschinen, in denen man - ohne Aufpreis - sein Geschirr in 3-4 Minuten spülen lassen kann. Das habe ich noch nie auf einem Campingplatz gesehen und das ist wirklich spektakulär, finde ich. (Es ist keine klassische Spülmaschine, sondern eine Art Industrie-Spülmaschine, in der man kleine Mengen in kurzer Zeit reinigen kann).
Zum Meer muss man allerdings ein Stück laufen ca. 15-20 Minuten, aber es ist sehr schön.

Wij verbleven op camping Ballum met twee kinderen van 13 en 10. Voor hen was het een beetje te kinderachtig. Er waren wel veel spel gelegenheden voor kleinere kinderen. Dat gezegd hebbende, was het een prachtige camping in een mooi stukje natuur. Ruime plekken, \'s avonds heerlijk stil. Alle faciliteiten waren keurig onderhouden en schoon. Voor vragen was het beheerdersechtpaar altijd bereikbaar, zeer vriendelijk en vaak een extra tip/suggestie. Heerlijk tot rust kunnen komen!

Vriendelijke camping met goede ontvangst. Sanitair prima in orde, douchen met kaart. Afwas water niet altijd heet. Vlakbij Noordzee dus veelal wind. Grote staanplaatsen die je evt zelf uit mag zoeken.

Die selbst gebackene Pizza muss man probieren, sehr lecker.

Prima campeerplek! Wij stonden op het tentenveld achteraan en dit was een fijne plek om te zijn. Prachtige zonsondergangen te zien vanaf de camping.

Het sanitair is zeker voldoende qua aantal en schoonheid, maar we zijn niet enthousiast over de douches. Je betaalt per 4 minuten, waarna de douche uitgaat. Je moet dan weer opnieuw je pasje ertegenaan houden of erin stoppen en accepteren dat je mogelijk net 10 seconden te lang hebt gedoucht waardoor je nogmaals 4 minuten betaalt. Een betaalmechanisme per seconde oid zou dit al verhelpen. Ook kan je de 4 min water niet pauzeren, waardoor de teller doorloopt als je je inzeept. Dat alles was nog niet zo erg geweest, als de waterdruk niet zo belabberd was. Echt een tegenvaller als je ervoor betaalt.

De camping verkoopt prima pizza en broodjes in de ochtend tegen redelijk okee prijzen voor Denemarken. Je betaalt los voor elektra, zowel per nacht als per kWh. Wij betaalden uiteindelijk inclusief 2 personen, broodjes, elektra, kledingwas en douchen voor 5 nachten. Voor Deense begrippen redelijk goed.

Als ze de douches fixen, dan is het een topplek wat ons betreft.

Ich bin ja schon seit Jahren Stammgast auf diesen Campingplatz, weil er 1) einfach schön gelegen ist, 2) man durch freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal bedient wird, 3) die Infratruktur hervorragend ist, 4) die Angebote hervorragend sind.
