On the outskirts of the beautiful town of Saverne lies the quiet family campsite Seasonova Les Portes d’Alsace. Because of the many beautiful trees, the campsite has the ambiance of a park. Between the trees on the lawn you will find beautiful, large camping pitches which are not demarcated. As a result you have quite a lot of space. Behind the residential building, which houses the reception, lies a small heated swimming pool (40 m2) with a sliding roof. Children can splash around in the paddling pool and play in a playground with slide and sand pit. Entertainment is also provided.

Signposted routes and entertainment

At the reception you can rent a mountain bike or (electric) bike to explore the area. Staying on the campsite is not a bad idea, either. During the week in peak season nice activities are organised. The table tennis table, pétanque court as well as the beach volley ball field are some of the popular facilities on this campsite.

'Can we go to the pizza car?'

You can order fresh rolls and other delicacies which are delivered daily. The camping shop stocks the most essential necessities as well as convenient take-away meals. Ideal if you arrive late and do not have time or feel like cooking. A few times a week the the popular pizza car stops by.

Inclined plane

The Arzviller inclined plane (boat lift) is part of the Marne-Rhine Canal near Arzviller. The canal has seventeen locks over a four kilometre stretch. In total a height of 44 m is bridged. You can go on a nice outing to Océanide Saverne, a swimming paradise (with fitness centre, sauna and hammam) beautifully located on a hill with gardens.

Het sanitair was zeer net. Het personeel was zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam! Het zwembad was zeer proper en goed onderhouden! Een aangename rustige camping. Met de fiets naar Saverne gaat zeer vlot, het terugkeren is wel bergop, maar valt mee qua hellingsgraad.

Liked - We voelden ons hier direct welkom. Mooie en ruime standplaatsen. Heel vriendelijk onthaal. Lekkere boterkoeken en traditioneel brood. Verzorgd zwembad en rustig ‘s avonds. Je had er een gezellig terras+bar. Al mocht deze voor ons vroeger openen ;). Je had ook wel bijna elke dag een andere foodtruck op de camping of iets v eten van de camping zelf. Wij hebben alleen de pannenkoeken geprobeerd. Zowel de hartige, als de zoete.
Disliked - Een tip: plaats kampeerders die voor 1 à 2 dagen blijven ergens samen vooraan. Zo storen zij de andere “langverblijfers” niet bij het op- en afbreken van hun materiaal. Sommige deden dit echt niet stil.

We hebben hier één week verbleven met drie “gezinnen”. We werden na één dag direct herkend door de uitbaters (welliswaar in positieve zin). Ze waren allen heel vriendelijk. Ook de corona maatregelen werden heel goed nageleefd. Je kon er elke dag vers brood of boterkoeken bestellen. De croissants en “suissen” zijn een aanrader. Er was een zwembad aanwezig en dat vonden de kinderen (en wij ook) heel leuk. De sanitaire gebouwen werden elke dag gepoetst. De douches waren heel ruim. Je had een gezellige bar, al mocht deze voor ons wat vroeger open gaan ;). Er kwam 3x per week iemand langs met wijnen. Ook een aantal foodtrucks passeerden de revue: iemand die hartige en zoete pannenkoeken bakte, een andere met pita’s en ook iemand die taco’s maakte. De dag dat we vertrokken hingen er grote stukken vlees aan een spit. Er wordt dus heel wat gedaan om de kampeerders te plezieren. De camping is gelegen naast een manege (er zit nog een weide tussen). Al stoorde ons dat niet.

Liked - Vriendelijke uitbaters en een familiale sfeer op de camping. Elke dag was er wel een marktkraampje met wijn, kaas of streekproducten. Maar wel vaak hetzelfde. Voor een verblijf van enkele dagen is dit prima. Maar bij langer verblijf wordt het wat eentonig. De camping is ideaal gelegen op loopafstand van het centrum en binnen een actieradius van 1 uur autorijden zijn er veel bezienswaardigheden en activiteiten te beleven.
Disliked - Eetgelegenheid is aanwezig tussen 18.00 en 20.00 uur. Echter, kan de inkoop beter. Want, we hebben tweemaal geprobeerd hamburgers te bestellen, maar deze waren na enkele bestellingen voor ons op. Het eten is wel goed en wordt netjes opgediend.

de omgeving is prachtig en de stad ook!
ik ga hier graag vaker naartoe.
