Travelling party: Couple

We arrived in April in beautiful sunny weather and were so delighted with the site that we stayed an extra night - it is rare to be able to easily cycle into such a magnificent historic medieval town with great restaurants, bars shops etc - quirky facilities but had a great shower - right by river Dordogne so yes there are canada geese but only to be expected !

Don\'t leave anything out overnight. we had 2 reclining chairs stolen..anyone can access site via unlocked turnstile at end of site. handy for Bergerac ,easy walk into town

A 3 Star rating by ACSI is generous but an insult to other camping sites with the same rating. All your ratings to date have been accurate this deserves no better than 1 Star, filthy and overrun by itinerant workers and a manager that clearly has not control we felt most vulnerable and insecure. We are now at another camp site in the vicinity and this sentiment is held by others here who too had the misfortune of visiting La Pelouse

Not a campsite for a long stay. The geese and the goose poo really put us off. Toilets and showers were basic but It was in a perfect situation for exploring Bergerac, as the cycle and walking paths lead straight from the site to the town which is beautiful. The river setting is pretty. However would not go back if we could find an alternative.

Really good campsite to visit Bergerac with an easy walk along the river bank over the bridge into the town. Pitches, however very muddy due to heavy rain and loads of goose poo on them. Price you pay when next to a river. Personally, unless you wanted to visit Bergerac, which is well worth a visit, not a campsite for a long stay.

Arrived in wet weather, so very muddy but was found a reasonable pitch. Was a woodland site even though it was just a short walk from Bergerac.
Good base for touring. In hot weather the shade might have been great but with grey sky it's a little dark . Would use again.
