Camping under the watchful eye of a stylish castle, it's possible in the Dordogne! Camping Château Le Verdoyer adjoins the domain of the castle of the same name in the wooded countryside around the village of Champs-Romain. The terraces on the fancy campsite are shaded by trees and offer - on the edge of the site - a beautiful view of woods, ponds and fields. Take a dip in the swimming pool and eat in the castle's restaurant.

A wooded nature reserve with a view

On the campsite there are over 100 touring pitches and 75 rental accommodations (mainly chalets and mobile homes, but also some lodge tents) in a beautiful wooded nature reserve. The jagged terrain, which is built up from terraces, is completely surrounded by ponds, woods and lawns. As a result, the pitches at the edges have beautiful views. The central pitches are nice and shady.

Swimming at the castle

There is plenty to do for young and old at camping Château Le Verdoyer. Swimming for example: the campsite has several swimming pools. The outdoor pool is the most beautiful. You can swim and play with a view of the castle. If the weather is not so good, you can go to the indoor swimming pool.

Fashion shows and musical evenings

Theme weeks, musical evenings and children's shows: in the summer months there is something going on at the campsite every week. For example, you can enjoy a drink in the restaurant while enjoying an acoustic performance. And your children can take part in the playback and/or fashion shows. After eleven o'clock in the evening it's almost always quiet again on the campsite.

Liked - Veel te doen op de camping voor kinderen. Ruime plekken en mooie omgeving. In het chateau is mooi en lekker eten en ook op het terras is het gezellig en lekker zitten
Disliked - Zwembad kan wel schoner. Je kan de bodem niet zien.

Liked - De camping ligt erg afgelegen en is daardoor erg rustig. Dit is prettig je moet voor Bezichtigingen wel wat verder rijden. Personeel vooral de eigenaars zijn super vriendelijk. Eten in. Restaurant in kasteel is goed. Eten op terras is zeer Nederlands. Zwembad met glijbaan is naar mijn mening aan renovatie toe. Zeker de toiletten bij het zwembad. Hier werd niet goed gereinigd en was op een bepaald moment niet meer te gebruiken. Zwembad: kwaliteit van water was niet in orde heel veel haren. Water was goed voor temperatuur echter dan liever iets kouder en daarvoor zuiver water.
Disliked - Douche zijn alleen koud of warm niet te mengen naar warmer of kouder.!
Trappen bij glijbaan is heel erg aan renovatie toe. Door het grote gebruik van de kinderen moet dit echt verbeterd worden omdat het anders gevaarlijk kan worden. Is een houten constructie en is volledig versleten en kapot. De vloeren bij het zwembad waren op veel plaatsen spekglad en alleen bij melding bij het personeel werd het schoongemaakt.
Zoals heel Europa heeft de camping erg te kampen met personeels tekort en dit merk je nu in bepaalde hygiëne of verbeter punten.

Liked - Visvijver. Mooi opgezette camping. Prachtige natuurlijk en een gezellig terras met goede bediening.
Disliked - We misten enthousiasme bij het animatie team.
Zwembad was niet erg schoon.

Liked - Toen we aan kwamen direct genoten van het heerlijke welkomst diner (vooraf boeken).Fijne plek om te ontspannen, spelen, vriendelijk personeel en heerlijk eten in het chateau! Alle ingrediënten voor een top vakantie. Onze zoon van 9 heeft het nog steeds over het vissen in de vijvers. Mix van Nederlandse en Franse gasten. Prima plek voor uitstapjes in de omgeving zoals de waterval en Brantome.
Wij komen zeker terug!

Liked - Gezellige kastelen camping met ruime plaatsen in een mooie omgeving met visvijvers. Zeer vriendelijke team en eigenaar.
Het restaurant en de bar is top voor op een camping. Ruime camping winkel en terras.
Disliked - Caravans met airco's zouden apart gezet moeten worden. Veel overlast in geluid van buren die de hele dag de airco aan hadden staan.
We zijn 3 jaar geleden ook op de camping geweest maar in onderhoud is de camping helaas achteruit gegaan.
Een matig onderhouden zwembad dat de tweede week melkachtig groen was, een gladde algen bodem en stonk naar alg. De drie kikkers die in het zwambad zaten konden goed overleven. Ook de steigers aan de vijver stonden bijna op instorten.
Douches en onderhoud waren middelmatig, lauwe douche en de eignaar had geen tijd gehad om bijv. de spiegels op te hangen.
