Camping under the watchful eye of a stylish castle, it's possible in the Dordogne! Camping Château Le Verdoyer adjoins the domain of the castle of the same name in the wooded countryside around the village of Champs-Romain. The terraces on the fancy campsite are shaded by trees and offer - on the edge of the site - a beautiful view of woods, ponds and fields. Take a dip in the swimming pool and eat in the castle's restaurant.

A wooded nature reserve with a view

On the campsite there are over 100 touring pitches and 75 rental accommodations (mainly chalets and mobile homes, but also some lodge tents) in a beautiful wooded nature reserve. The jagged terrain, which is built up from terraces, is completely surrounded by ponds, woods and lawns. As a result, the pitches at the edges have beautiful views. The central pitches are nice and shady.

Swimming at the castle

There is plenty to do for young and old at camping Château Le Verdoyer. Swimming for example: the campsite has several swimming pools. The outdoor pool is the most beautiful. You can swim and play with a view of the castle. If the weather is not so good, you can go to the indoor swimming pool.

Fashion shows and musical evenings

Theme weeks, musical evenings and children's shows: in the summer months there is something going on at the campsite every week. For example, you can enjoy a drink in the restaurant while enjoying an acoustic performance. And your children can take part in the playback and/or fashion shows. After eleven o'clock in the evening it's almost always quiet again on the campsite.

Liked - Heel fijne camping met zeer behulpzaam personeel, heerlijke zwembaden en goed animatie team
Disliked - Neem wel cash mee voor in het kleine winkeltje en de snackbar, hebben geen pin. Je kunt die kosten wel vervolgens bij de receptie pinnen, maar als daar waar mensen voor je staan, sta je wel wat langer te wachten. En daarnaast kun je dan geen fooi geven/pinnen.

Liked - Wij waren zeer tevreden over onze kampeerplaats. Prachtig uitzicht en het privé sanitair was erg prettig.
Daarnaast is het restaurant een dikke aanrader.
Disliked - De staat van de camping benodigd zeker wat onderhoud. Hierdoor oogd de camping wat verouderd.

Liked - Visvijvefr, natuurlijke ligging, sportveld, zwembad, grote plekken. Sanitair beneden beter dan boven.
Disliked - Sanitair boven veel te hete douches, geen stortplaats voor chemisch toilet, nat en drassig rondom afwasplekken. Sanitair beneden onoverzichtelijke toiletten. Geen verlichting op de camping, dus zaklamp mee in donker, niet veilig voor kinderen. Eten restaurant matig: koud vlees, geen groenten erbij, aantal items vh dessert (ijs) niet aanwezig. Stokbrood was oud. Een vleesgerecht vd kaart niet aanwezig. Was erg jammer, want het was tgv huwelijksjubileum.

Liked - Heel ontspannen, gemoedelijke camping, ideaal voor lagere school kinderen. Kinderen hebben genoten van de vriendjes, schommel, zwembad en het vissen. Bestellen van brood ging heel simpel.
Disliked - De hygiene van sanitair gebouw had ik graag anders gezien. Er was geen handzeep aanwezig, en in toiletten rook het vaak naar urine, ook nog vlak na de schoonmaak. De douche temperatuur was op het einde van het verblijf goed, maar eerder ijskoud of bloedheet.

Liked - Animatie was top. Eten op de camping ook dit in orde. Zowel qua smaak als qua prijs. Mooie visvijvers en mooie omgeving. Camping ligt ook mooi gesitueerd.
Disliked - Er was duidelijk achterstallig onderhoud aan een aantal zaken en dat doet afbreuk aan de verder fraaie camping. Hek van ons vlonder waa gammel, vissteigers hebben losse planken en de achterste is sowieso niet meer in beste staat. Onderste trapleuning an de trap bij t zwembad kwam los vanwege rot hout en ook die bij de trap naar de tenten is slecht. Betonvloer bij de glijbaan weer netjes strak maken. Achteraf op de camping zijn een paar stortplaatsen van afgedankte spullen. Als dat soort dingen op orde gemaakt worden voegt dat echt iets toe aan de kwaliteitsbeleid vind ik.
