We have been camping around France for the last 8 years, and without a doubt this was the friendliest campsite we have visited. All the staff including cleaners/kitchen/waiters were really helpful and friendly. The owners and staff would go out of their way to make you feel that you are on holiday. We also had a problem with our car and without the help of Youri and his father Philip (owners) we would have struggled.
Small shop useful.
Bar/restaurant on site.
Walking around the area was good.
Main issue was the sloping pitches and the hedges needed maintaining.
The pitches were well worn and they would do well to only allow breathable groundsheets, or let pitches recover. The hedges around each pitch were making the place look scruffy.
However, we would stay again !
Just to add that there was a great deal of rain in the weeks before we arrived so some of the level pitches by the small stream were unusable. Not their fault, would have been better if we could have pitched on one of those on the flat and with better grass.
We were made very welcome at this excellent site in a beautiful, quiet location. Most of the other campers were Dutch, who were very friendly. There was a coffee morning every Sunday, which was very helpful to meet the other campers. There are so many walks and other things to do in the area that we shall certainly return
This is one of the friendliest campsites I have ever experienced. When I think of an ideal campsite, I think of Tailladis. It has everything I want and in beautiful surroundings.
We stayed at this magical site in may of 2014 from arrival we found the staff went out of their way to be helpful the site was in idyllic surroundings the facilities were great spotlessly clean fantastic food . all in all a superb 2 weeks springtime break . very highly recommended .
We stayed on this lovely site in may 2014 for a fortnight the owners were very helpfull and friendly it was well presented with large pitch sites great toilet and shower facilities fantastic location we would like to highly recommend this site
What at excellent site. All the staff were very friendly and always on hand. The food in the restaurant was very good and there was plenty of it. There were some organised events during our stay. Sunday morning, cake, coffee and classical music. One evening they did a BBQ, both events were well attended and we were made to feel very welcome. There are lots of things to see and do in the area and we will definitely go back to this site again.
Lovely site, our pitch was spacious and great value for money. Toilet block was spotless. Family run and very friendly staff. Not too large, with great privacy when needed. Restaurant/bar area well maintained with food available all day and into late evening. Great location for Sarlat and surrounding attractions. English widely spoken. On an organised canoe trip to the Dordogne from the camp we (the only English speaking couple) were kept fully informed in perfect English of all that was happening. Would highly recommend this site to any UK/Irish campers. Fellow campers were mostly Dutch and French with just one other English family. They were all extremely friendly and as we arrived after dark (we are 60+ and I have a spinal problem) our Dutch neighbours actually pitched our tent for us. We stayed 7 nights but will be back for a longer stay, hopefully next year.
