Excellent site 100mts from Dordogne river.
Very friendly staff, canoe hire available and good food and bar on site.
This is our favourite of the three sites we have visited in the Dordogne. The staff were very friendly and all spoke English. The site is located 50m from the river and 150m from a sandy beach, ideal for swimming and canoe hire. It suited us much better than the more commercial site next door.
Visited for the second time in June. I can't think of a lovelier place. Right on the river with the cliffs on the far bank and a little " beach" on the near side. You can take a canoe for 32 euro for two down to Beynac and get a lift back. Good fun, even though my wife fell overboard! The site is in a walnut orchard and I can recommend the nuts too. Very helpful lady proprietor and her youthful assistant - always willing to help me with my French. Not at all busy in mid June. Highly recommended.
This is our second visit and all I said in June 2014 still applies. An exceptional campsite if you want peace and quiet off season. The staff remain cheerful and willing to help with everything in spite of it being end of season when they close down next Saturday for the winter. Only quibble is that you can't order bread for next day this late in the season. Will hopefully return next year.
Campsite good, picked wrong pitch too close to the road, on our departure realised the other toilet facilities further on the campsite a lot better and cleaner. Swimming pool very clean.
Lovely site, beautiful location, right on River Dordogne. Nearest supermarket in Sarlat which is 5 miles on bikes. Worth the hills for the lovely town.
This is one of the best sites in the area. The pitches are of good size, in peaceful surroundings by the river. The staff were very helpful, cheerful and polite. This is an ideal site for visiting the Dordogne with the added bonus of canoe hire on site with pickup provided.
In my opinion this site although only 3 star in far superior to the 5 star next door - le soleil plage - where we stayed last year and I would recommend it to everyone.
One of the best sites we have ever visited in France. Excellent pitches which are well maintained. Reception staff are superb. Quite site and has a good ambience for relaxation. Will come again.
Very pleasant site at an excellent price. The site next door had smaller pitches and not as good views. The staff were very good and the pool is lovely.
