A good stopover site set n nice woodland not far from the N10. Very helpful owner.

This could be a lovely site. The setting is amongst pine trees. However, the upkeep of the site leaves something to be desired, especially the toilet block. As previous review, the toilets are not cleaned regularly.
The nearest town is a hike away.

sanitary block cleaning not brilliant-certainly not daily whilst we were there. couple who ran the site very friendly and obliging. good situation, right next to lovely swimming lake with beach and free use of canoes. bar open all day, limited snacks in evening, but the pizzas are good. water temp on showers not adjustable. free wifi at bar

Owners pleasant and camping reasonable at 15 euro. However, the sanitaires were being renovated, with minimal facilities available. Very messy, so we didn't venture in. The rest of the site has a run-down appearance - when was it last inspected? Dilapidated-looking "snack bar" (closed) with a few neglected children's toys nearby. The covered terrace had a few chairs, not very clean, with no tables. We took a walk around the lake but not very pleasant, with run-down kayaks and a broken windsurfer behind a shed. "Walking-distance" town of Guitres is 7 km away. Moved on the next day. Perhaps the owners are aiming to have the place cleaned up for the summer months?

We found this out of the way campsite more or less by chance. We were on the way to the Pyrenees when our motorhome developed a problem, loss of the 5th gear. Very friendly staff and lovely surroundings. As we had found the site via the ACSI app, very cheap too. Would definitely recommend and return if/when we are in the area again. There is some ongoing work being done around the shower/ toilet block but do not let that put you off.

This is very much a work in progress site. Showers great as block obviously refurbished, but washing up facilities have yet to be done and the water was a bit tepid. Toilets clean enough. The staff are excellent even offered an adaptor for the electrics. This is very much a chill out site as no villages near. Would certainly return again if this way.

Excellent site though a bit rustic. Very friendly staff. Good stopover on the way south. Right next to the lake which had sunbeds.

Very welcoming owners. Refurbished showers excellent. Swim in adjacent lake lovely after a days drive. Fantastic value for money.

We stayed on this site for 8 nights and enjoyed every minuet. When we arrived at the entrance we thought, Oh No! But we were directed along the road by another camper to the new entrance, all very nice with security barriers, a reception office, kitchen and bar. The owners, Christine and Didie could not have been more welcoming. The pitch was an amazing size with views over the lake, stunning sunsets. The lake and beach were clean with plenty to do. New shower block excellent and the home made pizza excellent too. The owners were working all day on more improvements Looking forward to our next visit.

We arrived on site after a day of rain. The proprietor was most helpful and showed us to a dry hard standing pitch close to electricity. He showed us around the site and to the newly refurbished toilet and shower block. These were super especially having stayed on Aires for a few day prior to this. The proprietor brought us pamphlets about local places to go especially St Emilion. Unfortunately the weather was atrocious and we decided to stay in the van for two days as it was too wet to visit anywhere!. So a day in the van catching up on free use of WiFi! I would imagine that in the summer the campsite would be great place to stay at especially with the nearby lake and beach. Thanks we enjoyed despite the weather with a very friendly host.
