You will find Camping Le Tedey in the heart of the famous coastal resort of Lacanau, France's ultimate surfing spot. Le Tedey is the ideal place for a relaxed camping holiday among the trees and by the water. This child friendly campsite is on the banks of Lake Lacanau, only a stone's throw from the Atlantic Ocean. The many water sports options mean the campsite is extremely popular among families with teenagers.

Vast choice of pitches & accommodation

The site at Le Tedey is in a large pine forest and offers plenty of choice of the various camping pitches and luxury holiday homes, such as mobile homes, tiny houses and lodge tents. The special thing here is that you can choose a premium pitch. That is a pitch with a hut that looks like a little garden house containing a small kitchen with tableware and a fridge. You also get comfortable garden furniture at this pitch. Ideal for campers with a tent!

Water sports adventures

There may not be a swimming pool at this campsite, but camping Le Tedey's location right by the lake and close to the sea is perfect for doing many water-based activities. Stand-up paddleboarding, canoeing, sailing and surfing in particular are popular here. At the campsite there are two gently sloping beaches with a sailing and surfing school that also rents out pedal boats and sailing boats. If you feel like swimming in the Atlantic Ocean, the beach at Lacanau Plagebeac is only 7 kilometres away. You can cycle there in about 30 minutes via a lovely route through a forest.

Liked - Een erg mooie camping gelegen in het bos. Ik ben hier als kind vroeger meerdere malen geweest en het was goed om te zien dat de camping nog grotendeels hetzelfde is. De gehuurde safaritent was ook prima in orde. Het meer en de verschillende strandjes maken het dat je je op de camping goed kunt vermaken. Ook goede fietspaden in de buurt om naar het strand te gaan. De foodtruck was ideaal, zodat je niet helemaal naar de receptie hoefde te lopen voor afhaalmaaltijden.
Disliked - De grootte van de camping maakte het voor onze kinderen (leeftijd t/m 6 jaar) wel wat lastiger om leeftijdsgenootjes te vinden, omdat ze nog te klein zijn om alleen de hele camping over te gaan.
Een puntje dat ik wilde opmerken is dat het toiletgebouw wel vaak gedurende dag langere tijd gedeeltelijk was afgesloten voor schoonmaak. Het is natuurlijk goed dat er vaak wordt schoongemaakt, echter was dit vaak rond spitsuur 's ochtends of 's avonds als iedereen wil douchen.
Het toiletgebouw was verder prima in orde en schoon, maar wel jammer dat de toiletten geen wc-bril en wc-papier hebben.

Liked - Mooie camping, meestal ruime plekken. Direct aan het meer van Lacanau en dichtbij de oceaan.
Disliked - Toiletgebouwen waren minder schoon dan vorige jaren.

Sinds seizoen 2021 is er een nieuwe eigenaar, die maakt het sanitair minder vaak schoon en last jongeren vlak buiten de camping feesten houden waardoor de nachtrust verdwenen is. Zonde van die prettige camping die het geweest is.

Vriendelijke ontvangst, keurig sanitair dat regelmatig wordt schoongemaakt. Mooie fietsomgeving en leuke badplaats op 7 km afstand.

We zijn er al eens eerder geweest. Heerlijke rustige camping met hoge naaldbomen waardoor overal half schaduw. Wij vonden de relaxte sfeer zalig. Voor de kinderen is er genoeg te doen ook al was het voorseizoen. Fietsen naar Lacanau Plage duurt 35 minuten door het bos en is zeker de moeite waard.

De camping ligt aal Lac de Lacanau en bij de camping kan tot 30 meter uit de kant staan. Ideaal voor kleine kinderen.

Op de camping is een kleine supermarkt met elke dag vers brood en de noodzakelijke dingen. Je kan het ermee doen maar een super U is 40 min fietsen of 10 min met de auto.

Er is een pizza-/frietkot, een crêperie en bar waar alleen contant betaald kan worden.
