Camping Moulin de Campech is located in the lovely, hilly landscape of Lot-et-Garonne, not far from the cities of Casteljaloux, Tonneins and (a bit further away) Agen. You have broad views and can visit the lovely old villages. The camping site is spaciously laid out and kids will feel right at home on this lively camping site. With only 50 pitches, Moulin de Campech is a comprehensive camping site.
After coming up the drive, you'll see the lake in front of the camping site and the old water mill. This houses the restaurant, bar and reception. The camping pitches are spacious and spread out over the camping site. The pitches are partially demarcated with shrubbery. Guests can use the heated swimming pool.
You can fish for trout in the lake by the water mill. There are strict rules regarding fishing gear (namely the hooks). The intention is that the fish are returned to the water living and undamaged after being caught. If you want to keep the fish to eat, you have to pay eight euros per kilo at the reception.
Camping Moulin de Campech has a restaurant with a snack bar. You can get take away meals there. There is also a charming bar where you can get a cup of coffee, a snack and a drink. You can also buy bread and other groceries. The range is limited, however. The restaurant has a long menu, with plenty of fish and poultry and delicious desserts.

Located in a really picturesque wooded area. Run by English Family. Very hot during our stay so used the pool which was fantastic as are the views from there. Without exception every person on site was English. It was a bit like staying on a Caravan Club site apart from the sanitary facilities that whilst clean, had definitely seen better days. Our motorhome is about 7.5.metres so we were restricted as to pitches.
We stayed at the site for one night while on route, while the owner was nice and the onsite wardens very helpful the site itself was OK. ACSI card members have a choice of a few pitches which look like they could be a problem in the rain with getting stuck on a mixture of grass and sand, while the toliet block and facilties are adequate, they are no where near to what is expected at the high end of ACSI price. I would expect to pay less for the site. We can't comment on any other facilties as we went just before the closing date knowing that the bar, resturant and pool would be closed.
Stayed for one night and was given a limited choice of pitches. It is in a river valley and feels well shaded. Full of English caravans, which gave it a strange feel. Staff were friendly and helpful. However the wash blocks were old, with an odd shower arrangement.
Nothing wrong with the site - but it wasn't really for us.
If you're in the area then definitely make this a place to stay. The welcome we received could not have been warmer, the facilities are excellent and the surroundings both peaceful and wonderful.
