Camping De Serrette is situated in the hills of the Auvergne. Wherever you are on the campsite, you can always see that beautiful volcanic mountain range in the distance. Therefore; swimming in the semi-covered pool is swimming with a view. You camp on one of the terraces against the mountain slope. Enjoy sitting by your tent, caravan or motor home with a snack and a drink. Or seek out the conviviality of the weekly cheese fondue evening where you can fully enjoy the famous regional cheese Saint-Nectaire.

Well-kept pitches in the mountainous landscape

You can tell by everything that the campsite is well-maintained. The new sanitary facilities, the modern mobile homes and the fine roads leading to the pitches. The pitches are also well-looked after. They are situated on terraces against the hillside. Wherever you are, the view is equally beautiful. So put your camping chair on your spacious pitch and look out over the mountain landscape.

A family campsite for sports enthusiasts: this is how you might describe Serrette Camp Site. For families with children, this is a great campsite. With its swimming pool, playground and games room, there is plenty for children to do. On the other hand, the mountainous nature invites you to go for a long walk. So put on those hiking boots and get going!

Swimming with a view

The sunroof is open, the water is nice and warm, your children take the plunge! At the edge of the campsite you will find the lovely swimming pool. It is not very big, but it does offer a fantastic view. While you swim, you look out over the valley and the lake of Chambon.

Liked - Belle vue sur le lac, endroit calme et pas trop loin pour voir autour de la région
Disliked - Terrain très petit juste la place pour voiture et mobil-home rien d'autre.
J'ai payé 315€ la semaine au lieu de 290€ (vu sur le panneau les tarifs à l'entrée du camping)) car on a payé à la nuit au lieu de la semaine. Pas normal, dommage.

Liked - La région est magnifique.
Le camping, situé sur la route du col de la Croix Saint Robert surplombe le lac Chambon et le château de Murol. Il est à environ 4 km du village....ça monte et ça descend pas mal :-)
Notre emplacement était spacieux et agréable.
Disliked - La propriétaire était un peu stressée et pas très accueillante à notre arrivée:
Nous ne nous sommes pas sentis très accueillis avec un camping-car...et encore moins avec un chien alors que nous sommes très respectueux des règles du camping.
Cela s'est détendu pendant la semaine, mais la première impression est un peu restée.
Pas évident de circuler avec un camping-car dans le camping.
Pour promener son chien en dehors du camping: pas simple. Seule solution: le long de la route passante.

Liked - Ce camping est très bien situé près de lieux d'intérêts tels que le Puy de Sancy, la vallée de Chaudefour, le lac de Chambon, les petits villages de Besse, Murol, Saint Nectaire. La vue des hébergements est magnifique sur le lac de Chambon et le château de Murol. La piscine est couverte et chauffée et de taille correcte par rapport au nombre de vacanciers. Nous y étions lors de la période de canicule et nous avons apprécié la température tout au long de la journée. Il y a aussi une salle de jeux pour les jeunes. Les propriétaires ont vraiment envie de faire plaisir à leurs clients.

Liked - La région, la situation assez centrale pour rayonner entre Murol et sa région, les lacs, le Mont d'or super Besse...
Disliked - L'accueil manque un peu de chaleur, est très formel (dans l'état des lieux, lors des achats), certains prix sont élevés au vu de la qualité de produits proposés (surtout les prestations annexes type pizza, jeux...)
