The green campsite Les Prés Verts aux 4 Sardines is situated directly on the southern coast of Brittany, in the hilly region of Finistère. The campsite offers simplicity and tranquility, as well as space and direct access to a small, sandy bay in the Bay of Biscay. On the spacious grounds, you will meet an international mix of Germans, English, and Dutch campers. Hiking trail GR34 runs past the campsite.
There are spacious pitches both in the sun and the shade. The pitches are not marked by hedges, but there are trees on the campsite. There are several 'nature pitches' available for tents. These pitches do not have electricity but do have a wonderful view of the sea. Camping here is highly recommended.
Directly by the sea
There is a somewhat out-of-date but elegantly designed heated swimming pool with poolside loungers near the entrance of the campsite. A small path runs from the campsite grounds to a small (300 m) but beautiful and quiet sandy beach on the shore, surrounded by rocks.
Are you looking for a day of peace and quiet in front of the tent, camper or caravan and do you have the children with you? The campsite has two table tennis tables, a large chess set, a midget golf course, and playground equipment for the little ones.
There are no shops or places to eat on the campsite grounds, but the nearby fishing port of Concarneau with a supermarket, cafés, and restaurants more than make up for this. The old walled town is accessible via the GR34 footpath, but there is also a beautiful cycling route which leads there: the Voie Verte.
The sanitation is somewhat outdated, but it is well-kept. The showers can only be used at certain times (8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.).

A quiet peaceful site ideal for couples wanting relaxing holiday. Location is wonderful. Beautiful coastal walk into Concarneau. Staff were very helpful - it was good to revisit after 25 years and see it still in the same family. Bread and croissants available every day with a shop open twice a day selling the basics. Toilets and showers were clean but basic. A tranquil gem!
This site is just a couple of hours from the port of Roscoff. It'se an established site that offers a tranquil break by the sea.
If you prefer you can camp on the headland great views, but you need to be self sufficient (gas/solar).
During our stay the electrics were upgraded, but you may still need a long lead dependant upon your chosen pitch. On arrival 'Grandad' offers you a tour in his 'Porsche' (golf buggy) so that you may see what is available. A public, but little used' beach can be found at the end of a short path from the site. Showers have been upgraded from our previous stays here. Toilets typically French - functional, no seat or paper. But at this band of ASCI price you cant expect Hilton style luxury. The site offers a laundry.
The children's play area, ping-pong and crazy golf pitches are in need of serious weeding.
There's no on site shop (built but not used) however a superb boulanger is but a 15 minute walk away and a Large Supermarket not much further.
Concarneau can be accessed by foot or cycle along either the costal path or the track of an old railway. We would recommend you try both.
All a bit dated and dishevelled. Excellent position for a private small beach. Close to walking and cycling routes and pitches a reasonable size but electric points badly placed and not enough if site full, you will need a very long cable. Owners couldn't be friendlier, but think their daughter runs the site now who can be a little abrupt. The facilities really need updating. The block near the entrance was open but the toilets have no seats and no lights so of an evening you need to take a light and toilet paper. We had a pleasant stay but we have been spoilt with much nicer sites that we're well maintained. Would still recommend for its position and the lovely elderly owners.
During our stay in June we found this site to excellent for a couple. The staff were charming and very helpful. The location is good for walking, cycling and swimming and the shops are not too far away. For a pleasant tranquil stay it would be hard to beat.
