Les Embruns is a campground on the Breton coast which is really worth exploring. The area is not very touristy, so perfect for camping. The campground is particularly well maintained and has parklike vegetation, flowers and fountains. The fields are spacious, flat and have sufficient privacy. Upon arrival you will find a well-organised campsite where you will be warmly welcomed.
Flowers, little ponds and playgrounds
When you arrive at the campground, you'll immediately notice many flowers, lawns and ponds. The entire area is nicely designed, which makes it a pleasure to stay here. Arriving on the campsites, they appear spacious and mostly flat. There is sufficient privacy thanks to the vegetation.
The restaurant serves wonderful dishes both inside and outside on the terrace. We recommend booking a table. Local specialities include mussels, but the pizzas are also recommended. In the campground supermarket you'll find everything you need. There are special barbecue zones for enthusiasts.
Recreation team and beach
They've thought of the children too. There is a spacious playground and a recreation team that plans treasure hunts, picnics and games. From the campground you walk about 400 m via the public road to the beach. It is usually not too busy.
The sanitation on the campground is in the midst of a nice park with ponds, fountains and tropical plants. It is very well maintained.
Detail information about this campsite
"Beautiful campsite, near the beach. Located in the Centre of the village. Beautiful indoor pool. One of the most floral campsites, often rewarded as the most beautiful planted and flowered campsite in Brittany and even in France. Excellent sanitary facilities."

Les Embruns, Le Pouldu, Brittany, located at the top of the village a couple of hundred meters from the sandy beeches. We were here a week at the end of August 2015. They accept Acsi and camping cheques etc from third week of August.
The staff are all fantastic and their English and willingness to use it far outstrips our French!
This 'peaceful' site has two pools with three slide, the indoor is heated to a very nice warm temperature. It gets busy in the main part of the day during peek holidays as you would expect but when we arrived around 4pm it was fine.
There are two toilet blocks and two shower blocks which are both unisex, located in the middle and end of the main area. The showers are free and have mixer/ push button taps which also include a sink and plenty of space in each cubical. There is toilet paper and hand soap provided.
While we were there for entertainment they have a football pitch with posts, table tennis and nice grassy areas to walk with some animals (donkeys and goats) to pet.
The grass pitches vary in size, we have a two birth with 260 awning and Jetta, just fitting on the pitch however across the way it looks at least half as big again. The site intermingles static vans with touring. The access road is just a car width and this can make setting up the van tricky, but we have a motor mover.... Without one you can easily push the van in to the flat pitches. If there is space they allow you to choose a pitch which would make access easier and some allow you to drive right through your pitch (in one side and out the other). There is lots of shade provided by many trees (including apple trees).
Our pitch (and it looks like most do) had water, grey water disposal, electricity and TV point which was nice.... I believe it is 16amp. We have a small (normal) sky dish and we have picked up Freesat without a lot effort and strong signal.
Would we stay again? Possibly not as there is another few sites nearby. Then again we rarely return, others have been here a number of years :-)
There is aircraft noise starting September as I think there is a military base nearby, none of which bothered us.
The site is secure with barriers that get locked at a set time at night, there is parking outside the barriers if you want to return late.... Don't forget your code as you will not be able to walk in :-)
We needed to have the electricity reset a couple of times, this was done before we had time to return from reception, amazing!
Some of those we spoke to have been here for a number of years, it certainly ticks a number of boxes.
This is the second year on the trot we have stayed here. Unless you want night entertainment (none on site) you will not find a better site than this in anywhere in France. The only problem we have is we like to keep travelling to different places we will have to come back again. The toilet block is spotless 24 hrs a day 7 days a week. It's a safe place to let children play, with three great beaches / coves within walking distance from the site.
We have just spent 10 nights here and absolutely loved it. The site is just beautiful, with plants, trees and flowers in abundance. Our pitch felt very private even though we were actually only footsteps away from one of the two the toilet/shower facilities. We WILL go back to this site again and would recommend it to anyone prepared to listen. The 8.4 rating it had when I logged in to the ACSI site is lower than we think it deserves. Staff friendly and helpful, showers and toilets spotlessly clean, closed for cleaning later in the afternoon which seemed much more sensible than your typical 10.30/11.00 closures. Really handy for three beautiful beaches in Le Pouldu, and a lovely little Port area. A couple of restaurants, bars, shops, bakery and creperie all nearby. Didn't use the pool because we forgot about the strictly enforced swimming trunk rule in many French pools. Les Embruns would take a lot of beating, wish more sites were like it.
This campsite is FAULTLESS - consistently the best we have ever stayed in...anywhere!
However, the restaurant beside the campsite this year was not as good as previously. We didn't eat in, but had a take away pizza and frites. The frites were "soggy chips" and the pizza was bland. Very disappointing.
Wow! What a site with it’s friendly helpful staff.
Very floral with features around the site,
The toilet facilities were always clean, good showers, laundry and washing up facilities well catered for. Sacks provided for recycling.
Plenty of open space, having a football pitch, orchard, duck pond, ponies and goats.
Games/TV room where it is possible to receive 30 mins free wifi every 6 hours.
It is child friendly with a playground, bouncy castle and small crazy golf course not forgetting the good swimming pools and sun bathing terrrace.
The village where it is situated lets it down a little although there are some lovely views and coastal walks from the site. The local shop is well stocked but seemed pricey, Eating places are next to the site.
Close by is Doelan a fishing village where the French version of Doc Martin was filmed. Hennebont approx 20 miles away is a walled town with a good Thursday market.
Can recommend this site, so much for 16 euros, pitches a good size and most seemed to have electirc and water points on the pitch.
We have just returned from our third visit to this wonderful site. The staff work very hard to make the whole package from helpfulness to spotless sanitary facilities and beautifully presented grounds. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for these lovely people. This is our favourite campsite and we have travelled extensively throughout Europe and we will be returning for a fourth visit very soon.
