Detail information about this campsite
"250 m from the beautiful sandy beach of Vougot, lies this small family campsite with renovated sanitary facilities. Spacious plots with or without shadow. Beautiful terrain with lots of flowers and trees, sheltered from the wind. Good starting point to Brest with its océanopolis, the unique abers (by sea flooded River Valley) or to visit the old fishing village of Meneham."

Liked - Very big hedged pitches. Friendly reception. Close to glorious beach. Great coastal walks Free WiFi on pitch
The description in the book is accurate. The owners are very friendly and the pitches very generous in size. The beach is just beautiful. The covered swimming pool is a bonus. WiFi is free - a bit slow but usable. I really like this site but it won’t suit people who want lots of bustling activity on the site or in the area. The Meneham visitor centre etc is a gem. I can’t believe it’s free ( buy something in one if the craft studios or lunch at the auberge) I have to give a view on at least 5 categories even though They don’t apply to us so will give it a 4 fir the child friendliness one ( we have no children)
Liked - The peace and tranquillity. Wonderful walks on the GR34 and fabulous cycling.

This site is incredible value for money at €12 a night. We received a warm welcome and could choose our pitch. All the pitches are huge and even in high season you would not feel crowded in. The site is within an easy walk to a wide natural beach with beautiful walks in either direction. But please note, if you are in a camper there is nothing else within walking distance and no bread order at the site either out of season. We were given tokens for the showers which normally would cost 50c but are included in the ACSI price. Very clean sanitaires and lovely hot showers too. Free wifi on all pitches which was a bonus. Recommended but if you are in a camper, probably only for 2 nights because there is very little in the immediate vicinity, other than the beach. Very good base otherwise for exploring the north and west of Brittany.
Immaculately maintained site with flat, spacious pitches, separated by mature hedges. Toilets always clean. Free showers always hot. 10 min walk to large, somewhat exposed, sandy beach backed by sand dunes. 2 mile drive to small village of Guisseny for patisserie and small supermarket. 4 mile to larger town of Plouguerneau for Intermarche, patisseries, bars and a couple of restaurants. Excellent, if slightly pricy, seafood restaurant Le Carre, St Michel (close to Plouguerneau). Visit to Pointe de St-Mathieu with its abbey and lighthouse highly recommended. Many opportunities for coastal walking – that close to Tramazan particularly attractive.
