Camping Domaine du Bois is located on the estate of a 15th-century castle in French Brittany. The historical buildings, such as the old stables, have been renovated and now serve as a restaurant or sanitary building. The swimming pool is located between the old buildings. The camping site is near La Chapelle-aux-Filtzméens, between Rennes and Saint-Malo. Take your car to visit sights such as the Mont-Saint-Michel, Cancale or Combourg. Or climb on your bicycle and follow the cycle route along the Canal d’Ille et Rance to Saint-Malo and Dinard. To explore the area from the water, you can rent a canoe on the camping site.
Grand Confort camping pitches and modern mobile homes
Family camping site Domaine du Bois is located in a wooded area and is divided into one section for campers with their own camping equipment and one section with rental accommodations. You can opt for a Grand Confort pitch, where you camp on a pitch separated by hedges and provided with electricity, water and drainage connections, or you can camp on a slightly more open field with younger vegetation. All camping pitches are spacious and have a grass surface.
Swimming in a castle-like setting
The swimming pool at camping site Domaine du Bois is located in the courtyard between the old outbuildings of the castle. This creates a special atmosphere. The swimming pool is heated and there is a separate section for small children. During high season you can join the water aerobic lessons which are offered several times a week. The Atlantic Ocean is roughly half an hour's drive away.

We have visited this site for the last four years during our annual 3 month tour of France and can honestly say that it is one of the best campsites in the Country. The staff are friendly and helpful and the site oozes quality from the top class food in the restaurant; the standard of the sanitary facilities; the pool and the pitches.
This is a lovely site. One of the bests in our 3 weeks of touring. Ideal location to use as a base and to just relax. Despite the rain was very inpressed
We have been using this campsite for a number of years and consider it one of the best in France. Delphine, Miguel and their team are really helpful and friendly and maintain the site, sanitation blocks, pool, etc to the highest standards. The site is ideal for relaxing and enjoying the facilities and is well positioned for visiting the many attractions of northern Brittany. We will be back again in June/July 2017
Stayed here for 5 nights in September when the weather was very wet, as it was throughout northern France so the site was not seen at its best. However staff were very friendly spoke excellent English and the facilities were of an equally high standard. Because of the weather we did not avail of many of the sites amenities but it is central to many of the surrounding villages and within easy reach of the coast, Dinard, St. Malo ect. This site is on the Caravan Clubs site list so expect plenty of English neighbours. Would certainly use it again
We have just got back from ten days at this site and really must say that we were really happy that we chose to come here. On this occasion we didn't have the weather on our side but there were still activities around the site. All toilets and showers are modern and spotless. The pool I felt was a little cold but that could have been due to the not so great weather. Some great towns etc to visit and some fantastic forest walks on site too. The staff are really friendly and helped us on numerous occasions navigate our way around the Brittany area and always a friendly smile too. This site is mainly Dutch and British and makes for a really pleasant atmosphere with the kids feeling free to roam and explore too. We will definitely return.
The campsite is very well maintained, nice and clean facilities and all the staff are so friendly. It’s dog friendly too, with great surroundings to explore such a space the woodlands and walks down the canal.
An excellent site. Helpful, friendly staff. Large pitches. Good pool and lots of leisure activities. New toilet block. Halfway between Dinan and Rennes. Only shop in area is Spar about 4km away (easy cycling). Strongly recommended.
