From Camping de la Baie, located on the Breton coast, you have direct access to the beach on the Bay of Quiberon. You camp on a well-kept terrain on a touring pitch with privacy provided by large hedges. At this quiet campsite you can take a dip in the swimming pool, but especially around the campsite there is a lot to do. Join a boat trip on the Gulf of Morbihan or cycle to Carnac. Almost three thousand menhirs to admire here.

Well-maintained campsite

About a hundred touring pitches can be found on the campsite, which is only separated from the beach and the Atlantic Ocean by a road and car park. The terrain is well kept: narrow roads provide a sense of tranquillity, large hedges and trees delimitate the touring pitches. The pitches are large enough for every type of camping. However, placing a motorhome or caravan may require some driving skills.

Swimming pool

The swimming pool is situated in a sunny spot at the entrance of the campsite, It is separated by a wall. It's not very big, but nice to cool off. For the youngest swimmers there is a shallow, shielded area where they can paddle in peace and quiet. There is a waterslide for the daredevils.

Ebb and flow

If you cross the parking lot at the entrance of the campsite, you will be on the beach within a few steps. At high tide (and nice weather) you can swim in the Atlantic Ocean. At low tide a fairly muddy part of the coast of the Bay of Quiberon is exposed. This, in turn, is ideal for gathering shellfish.

Travelling party: Young couple

Liked - What's not to like? Fabulous location opposite beach, and coast path walk to the centre on the opposite side. A comfortable 1 mile walk.
We would have liked to stay an extra couple of nights, but were abruptly told not possible on our pitch.
Shame the shop was only open 8.30 until 12! Lovely terrace bar and restaurant overlooking the beach, so fantastic views.
Disliked - Only that we couldn't stay longer ??

Liked - Great site, our second time here. Very friendly, professional reception staff. The site is not too big, and very, very clean. The facilities are very well maintained, plenty of hot water, clean loos, etc. The guests are very friendly (and well-behaved!). The site is positioned between two lovely beaches: a bay and by the walk to town. The walk to TsM is great, but wear decent shoes or trainers. Plenty of eating places along the front in town... the front being quays for big boats, including big-time-competion catamarans. A great place.

Liked - As usual we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay in our almost ‘second home’
Disliked - Overall nothing we disliked. However I do not think the toilet block near reception looked as clean as it has done over the previous visits. I do not think this is due to staff not cleaning properly. The toilet and shower block is old and ‘tired’. Any amount of cleaning is not going to make it look any better. The standard of the shower/toilet block is so far below that of the toilet/shower block at the rear of the site. Surely it is time to upgrade?

Travelling party: Group of friends

Liked - My wife and I had agreed to meet some friends at Camping de la Baie for a week or so last June. Unfortunately the tow car we intended to use broke down a few days before departure, but the site were very helpful and arrnaged for us to stay in a mobile home rather than use our own caravan. What a lovely site ! We were fortunate and had great weather over the 11 days we were there, and we swam in the nearby sea every day. All the staff were very pleasant, and we really enjoyed our stay and I'm sure we'll be back.
Disliked - We ended up hiring a mobile home, but if we'd have taken our 7 metre caravan as originally planned I'd have parked up on the road and walked the site first. The pitches themselves are fine, in fact some of the larger pitched are really good, but some of the site roads are a bit narrow - we have a motor mover so I wouldn't anticipate any issues but as I say, I'd walk the site first to check I know where I was going and that there wasn't an outfit leaving the site as I was entering it.

Travelling party: Family with children, 4 – 12 years

Liked - We loved the accommodation and the peaceful tranquillity of the site and surrounding area. With our two pre-school age children, the small pool, play area and proximity to the beaches was perfect, as was the ease of the onsite bike hire.

In a positive way, there was constantly some maintenance ongoing, which spoke of the care and high standards the site upholds.

Disliked - The site may be too small or the facilities too limited for families with older children perhaps but that was not an issue for us.

The cost for the onsite washing machines / dryers seemed high, but we have no basis for comparison.

Liked - excellent location easy to find and a short walk to the beach also an easy bike ride around the bay into Carnac. Pool nice and clean and slightly warm (heated?). The onsite facilities were clean and all worked well with plenty of hot water etc. Very quiet ant night with no noise from other residents. We really enjoyed our stay
