A convenient one night stopover. We enjoyed the cycle rides along the river and the canal. However we were not happy with the state of the site - a bit scruffy, bad roadways, broken electric bollards etc. Staff were very friendly. But it is not a site we would return to or recommend.
Nice surprise for what had been planned as a couple of nights stay, we stayed a week. Great cycling and walking from the doorstep and we made use of the beautiful river for swimming and paddle boarding. The toilet facilities were very clean but a little tired and in need of updating, not something that really bothered us. We had a nice big pitch but they did vary. We will most certainly return as a destination rather than a stopover.
We stayed here for a week and were sad to leave. The owners were very welcoming and helpful. You had a choice of either grass or hard standing pitches which were of a good size and all had water, electric and waste drainage. Sanitary facilities were heated, always clean with controllable hot water flow. There is easy access from the camp to the pretty town and beyond either on foot or cycle.
Good value site near the river and canal with a good cycle route. An ideal stop over going north or south. Liked the swimming pool and proximatey to town and its ameniities.
We only stayed here 2 nights but were made to feel very welcome. Madam spoke very good English and could not have been of more help. Spotless facilities and lots of hot (yes hot and not tepid as in most places) water. Wished we could have stayed longer - a return visit is on our list.
Great site in the best tradition of French municipal campsites - well run and friendly, on the edge of an interesting town with all the facilities you could need, including free wi-fi, nearby boulangerie and supermarkets. Particularly well-positioned for towpath cycling and admiring the (less fashionable end of) the River Loire.
