Camping de Mambré is a spacious and quiet campground. The campground is located in a park with high trees within walking distance of the small provincial town of Paray-le-Monial. This pilgrimage destination is located in the wine region of South Burgundy between Digoin and Charolles, an area where you can take wonderful bike rides. The quiet campground in the park with well maintained sites is very popular with the Dutch in the high and low seasons.
You can choose your own site on arrival. You have the choice of spacious campsites with fences. You'll have plenty of shade under the old high trees. You'll camp on grass in the open field. A fenced off site with a little shade is also one of the options. There are fully furnished chalets for hire. Campers are welcome.
Take a dip
The Dutch owner will ensure a pleasant stay and will give you tips about the surrounding area. There is a swimming pool with parasols and a kiddie pool at the reception. In the high season, you can have a drink in the bar or in the shade on the small terrace. For campers who like fresh bread for breakfast, there is the breakfast servivce.
The sanitary facilities are simple. The three complexes are located a short distance from the campsites.
The quiet campground attracts primarily seniors, families with young children and cyclists. Small children can play in the kiddie pool and on a few playground items. Want to be active on the campground? Then play a round of table tennis or use the jeu-de-boules pitch or the sports field.

We are always on the look out for campsites within walking distance of a small town...De Mambre fits perfectly.
There was a friendly reception from the campsite owner who as well as telling us about the site explained how to find the way to the town.
The pitch was grassy , large. demarcated and shaded with mature trees. The facilities were not brand new but were clean and functional and within easy reach of the pitch. There is a small pool which caught the rays of the afternoon sun.
The walk into town is a pleasant 20 min stroll along a path by the river...the town has many interesting churches and is very well kept.
The pains au chocolate sold by the site were great too!
A very pleasant site, pitches are a generous size and wash room facilities adequate. Wifi is fairly reliable, it's free and transmitted from 3 points so should be available at most pitches. The local town, Paray le Monial is a delight and much to offer. Located right on the canal du Centie and close the Loire so good cycling and walks.
This campsite has great character, and is very nicely laid out under mature trees, and each pitch is near one of three sanitary blocks. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. I liked the fact that bread and croissants were available on site without the need to pre-order! The lovely town of Paray-le -Monial, and other towns, are very accessible especially by bike as the site is beside the Voie Verte. Will return! If dining out in town we would recommend the restaurant "O Fil de l'Eau" beside the river (Rue des deux ponts). Great for pastas and pizzas. Repas tres bon et fait maison!
A very welcoming reception staff and clean and efficient toilet facilities. Good sized pitches and close to the town. We had a very enjoyable stay here.
The campsite is really very nice. We were welcomed very heartily. Nice grounds, very clean, next to a lovely city (Paray-le-Monial) with an important cathedral. We felt very happy and compfortable.
