You will find the well-organised campsite Les Ceriselles near Vincelles in a hilly area with vineyards and cherry trees. The campsite is beautifully situated along the Burgundy wine route near the Yvonne river. This modern, clearly organised campsite is situated at an elevation of approximately 150 metres.
The spacious pitches (80 - 120 m2 in size) are situated along pathways. You will have the most privacy on the outskirts of the campsite. The level grass pitches are demarcated and offer little or no shade. Campers from Western Europe, most of whom are travelling through, visit the campsite.
Going for a refreshing swim
There is a small heated indoor swimming pool (44 m2) with a sliding roof. The beach volleyball sports field, the boules court and the table tennis table are the places to show off your sports skills. For fishing enthusiasts, there is a large fishing pond measuring 4 hectares in the vicinity.
Entertainment and sports
There is a playground for the children as well as an entertainment programme in English and French. You can play a game of minigolf for a fee. There are also tennis courts available for rent. The snack bar offers a limited menu. You can also get takeaway meals here. For your grocery shopping, you will find a large supermarket just 200 metres from the campsite. The campsite shop stocks a limited range of products and there is fresh bread available.
Beautiful cycling trips along the canal
You can rent bicycles (also electric bicycles) and mountain bikes at the reception. The campsite is the ideal starting point for beautiful and level cycling routes along the river and the canal. It's fun to see how the manually-operated locks work from up close...

Close to small supermarket, and good cycle route along the canal with cycles or E bikes, (good rates)
We used this as a stop over for two nights, and would use it again
Having carried a tandem on our own tour of France, we'd found that many sites advertise access to cycle tracks that aren't quite cycle friendly. No wonder so many campers have e-bikes today. This site, however, is a joy for the not particularly fit, ageing bike rider with its direct access to a canal towpath which is a good width and almost entirely tarmaced. Vincelles itself doesn't offer much (other than the supermarket just along the road) but there are interesting destinations along the towpath in both directions. Facilities are small but adequate and dotted around the site. Free wifi is accessible on pitch. Water available on each pitch. Small but well used pool.
Stayed here for 4 nights, and arrived after some wet weather. The first pitch we tried with our camping car was wet, and we then moved to another. There were several pitches taped off due to wet ground, and at least one camper had to be towed off a muddy pitch. The sanitaires were excellent, clean with really hot showers. The pool was covered and heated. The site is right on the avenue verte for easy cycling, with more testing cycling on numerous back roads. Great walks from the site. Excellent value with CC.
Very busy site with a lot of outfits in transit morning and evening - ideally site could be organised with separate area for transit units. Grass pitches suffer in rain and several of the hardstanding pitches used by caravans, meaning one bigger motorhome needed towing off pitch. Excellent location for cycling and walking. Supermarket & boulangerie close by.
Nice friendly staff who speak English, level pitches, clean toilet facilities, free wifi and very good cycling along canal tow path. Supermarket within walking distance. No hills. Highly recommended.
Visited this site on the basis of the comment in the ACSI guide book page 228 that a "lovely quiet 4 star campsite". Sadly was not my experience. In addition to the arrivals and departures of units there was traffic movement on site most of the day and the site was exteremely busy and thus noisy. Additionally very noisy adult neighbours - which I appreciate can happen on any site. Why cannot people have regard for others ? Very glad to leave and will certainly not be returning.
Small pitches used mainly as a stopover but we stayed 6 nights. Site well maintained with neat clipped hedges. Lovely cycling along the canal with some interesting places to explore along the way. Good walk up into the vineyards above the town. Town a little bit lifeless but a good supermarket next to the site. Staff very accommodating, ensuring we watched the Formula 1 GP on the site TV!
Very good site.
Perfect for cycling.
A very good restaurant very close.
Would highly recommend to all. Also close to motorway.
All the previous reviews were entirely accurate. This is one location you have to visit. The location is perfect and with the fantastic cycling from the campsite you will love being here. A must to see is the Caves du Bailly Lapierre. Not going to spoil it by writting any more.
Perfect site in lovely surroundings. Facilities are excellent and the local maximarche has just been renovated! Very friendly and helpful managers make staying here delightful.
