Welcome! Welcome!

The A10 takes you via Tours through the Loire Valley, where you cross the Indre just under Tours. At Sorigny's, you trade the A10 for the D910. Then drive south for another 15 minutes. The last part you drive on a narrow road through a forest. When you pass this road the gate of Camping Parc de Fierbois appears. The receptionists speak English.

Camping

You can choose a comfort pitch, situated on the shady edge of the forest or a spacious touring pitch on lawns with a more open character. Some pitches have private sanitary facilities, for extra luxury. Part of the communal sanitary facilities will be renewed in 2018.

Entertainment for the whole family

In addition to chalets, mobile homes and gîtes, you can also rent a tree house. Also adventurous for children is the climbing course at the lake. The lake itself offers all possibilities for anglers and water sports enthusiasts. The children can have even more water fun in the water park on the campsite. Deep and shallow pools run into each other here. The bar at the water park has a spacious outdoor café and there is often live music. The bar has a games hall with a.o. pool tables. There is also a separate restaurant and an extensive supermarket on the campsite.

Travelling party: Group of friends

Liked - Good location. Close to Tours and also situated next to a small village with a great restaurant. Modern and clean swimming pool and bar area.
Disliked - The beach/lake area was great but was not well kept. Some weeds were over 1m high! The take away menu was very limited and although the site wasn't busy the wait times were very long. The restaurant was very expensive, although that is usual for all campsites.

Liked - This is a lovely site. Not too quiet and not rowdy. Shop on site is well-stocked and staff were friendly. Excellent amenities and activities.
Disliked - Reception (process not building) was poor. We were given our pitch (private shower/toilet) and off we went - it was locked! I returned and asked for a key. Later I had to return to get our included wi-fi code as this had not been provided. Then I discovered we should have had a welcome pack, so I went back again! The takeaway pizza was appalling, barely cooked and tasteless. Chips were like cardboard. This site is very, very expensive but is spoilt by poor management. Also, wi-fi is a part of daily life. Why only 2 devices? It's 2019! I can get free wi-fi in a supermarket! Include it for all.

Travelling party: Young couple

Liked - Lovely new sanitation blocks. Big pitches, very spacious. Team Nxd bar members were friendly
Disliked - Hot water often ran out in washi g up and shower area by the evening. Animation in the evening was ok, but not obvious from the poster what it was. A little more would bring in more people. A snack/takeaway from the bar wasnt on offer twice when we asked. That would be good in the future

Liked - The lake with the water course was brilliant.
Very good facilities and recreational opportunities.
Snack bar and pizzaria could have more choice.

Disliked - the proximity to our friends, although with simultaneous booking, could not be taken into account.
Dishes were missing, it was delivered only after asking twice.

Liked - Toilet block was absolutely spotless, very impressed. Loads for the kids to do and the adults too.
Disliked - Not enough sun loungers round the pool at peak times, only alternative was the grass area. This would be fine but grass is dead and its a bit of a dust bowl. Fake grass would work or extend the pool patio area here too. very minor issue though compared to how good the rest of the site is.

Travelling party: Family with children, 4 – 12 years

Liked - The beautiful lake and the general atmosphere at the campsite, it was very chilled and relaxed. The people running the kids clubs were absolutely lovely as well and we were sorry we didn't visit that earlier in our stay.
Disliked - The food provision. The snack hut food is absolutely awful, inedible in fact, and the shop shutting for three and a half hours in the middle of the day was inconvenient when there is nowhere else to buy lunch items without getting in the car. The location of the campsite is not great, once you are there it is a long drive to visit anywhere off-site and so because of this the food options on-site really need to be better as there is no other choice. I was surprised that there was no café hut down at the lake, it was busy with potential customers.
