In the middle of the Loire Valley forests you’ll find the campsite l'Orangerie de Beauregard. Camp here like royalty near the castle of Beauregard. The beautiful pitches are situated under tall trees or on grassy fields. Here you camp with the whole family in the middle of nature. Visit the local markets with regional products or enjoy a delicious meal in the restaurant. You can also take a dip in the heated swimming pool.

Royal camping

The camping pitches are on grassy fields between the trees. You can even reserve a spot in the middle of the forest. Delightful! Even in the countryside, you sometimes need a bit of comfort. Then book a comfort pitch. It has a barbecue and a picnic table. So you can enjoy a long dinner at your own caravan. Would you like some extra regal camping? Then stay in one of the cottages at the castle.

Play table tennis with your holiday friends

Your children will have the holiday of their lives at L'Orangerie de Beauregard. They can play with many other children under the age of twelve. Together with their new holiday friends, they can play table tennis, do crafts and much more. In the meantime, you take it easy: sip Vouvray, a sparkling white wine, during a wine tasting. A local and worldwide celebrity.

Markets at the campsite

Every week in the high season, fun markets are organised at the campsite. Here you can browse through the local products. Or sit on the terrace with a glass of wine and a steaming hot pizza. Would you like to visit a slightly bigger market? Then cycle or walk through the woods to Villedômer.

Liked - Cleanliness, how accommodating the management were in moving our pitch, the location and the facilities.
Disliked - Our initial pitch - right next to the basketball court. The checkin experience was done by a junior member of staff who wasn’t very communicative or welcoming - first impressions matter!

Liked - The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The site is set in fabulous grounds of a chateau and very well maintained. Enjoyed the Monday Market and had a lovely meal at the restaurant sitting in the courtyard. We had a big pitch which was ideal for our motorhome. Hope to return in the future.

Disliked - Rubbish disposal was a bit of a chore as it was a long walk.

Liked - Loved the Monday market/food trucks. Plenty of information available about the local area. Value for money restaurant, serving basic, but good food and wine at reasonable prices. The pool area looks great even though we didn’t use it. Absolutely lovely staff at reception and in all other areas. Plentiful supply of toilet roll and hand wash, but no cold water supply for teeth cleaning. Great site for children, with lots of activities on offer. Don’t miss the little chapel, it’s very interesting. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, but feel I have to be honest with the negative.
Disliked - Our original double classic pergola pitch turned out to be very rocky and uneven. It appeared to have a drainage system running through which had caused the ground to sink. We were moved to a more suitable pitch by the lovely young lady in reception, but we did pay a further fee to upgrade. Pitch taps are awkward to access and the area around needs to be cut between change over. My husband cut the nettles. The shower/wash facilities were kept clean, but there is no cold water supply, and the hot water was luke warm. No laundry sinks in the laundry, but adequate supply of washing machines.

Travelling party: Family with children, 4 – 12 years

Liked - The site was beautiful, the owners very nice and helpful, loads of great families camping, excellent swimming pool, on-site activities all great: forest walk, boules competition, pizza night, wine tasting. All excellent. The kids just loved playing with all the other kids om the football/basketball court.
Disliked - The sleeping barrel get extremely hot in the hot temperatures, we decamped to the tent in the end. The play barn could have a few more things in it or more seating, separate areas perhaps. It was still good fun though, played table tennis an the kids loved the table football.

Liked - A good size campsite, particularly with younger children, good facilities and activities available without being overwhelming. Beautiful surroundings with lots around.
Disliked - Our inside cabin could do with a few extra touches. The snack bar closed and our nearest sanitary block as we went into low season which was unexpected (21/8)

Travelling party: Young couple

Liked - Nice bar with friendly staff
Enjoyed the Monday market
Lovely setting

Disliked - Showers were smaller than we experienced in other campsites and the water was not warm. Push button setting in shower was very short too. It would have been good to have a wider choice of food available on site as other restaurant options were a distance away (the restaurant in the village was closed for the holiday).
