We have been to France many years now and this site has been our first stop. Laurent, the owner, is extremely helpful and makes everyone feel very welcome. The facilities are very good and the pool is excellent for children and adults. There is a small shop with essentials but we found it and the bar a little expensive when there is a Super U, an Intermarche and a huge Auchan within easy reach. This is an excellent well established site and highly recommended
The staff were very welcoming and patient with my French although they spoke good English. My preference is to speak French as much as possible. This site is superb with generous sized pitches. Our only slight reservation is that some of the pitches had too much shade to the extent of being dark. It was quiet without traffic noise and we found it an excellent spot for exploring the Loire. One minor point was that the showers could have been cleaner, the floors were grubby.
We have used this site on several occasions. Staff are helpful and friendly. This year the pool has been replaced with a larger covered one plus small outside and toddler pools. Large pitches, under well established trees. Ideal spot for cyclists with easy access to the many, fairly level well signed routes.
We\'ll certainly be visiting again.
This was a beautiful campsite. One of the best I have seen. The staff were very friendly and the surroundings were lovely. There is a chateau nearby. We will be back to stay for longer. excellent site.
This evaluation has been obtained by our inspector from a questionnaire at the camp site.
Spent 2 nights here late May to book vet at Contres for pet passport on way back early July. Site owner friendliest we have come across. He even offered to organise the vet if required. Free wi-fi very good. Surrounding heath area nice for walks and it is in close proximity to some lovely chateaux. The vet at Contres also had a very nice manner and spoke good English. Much nicer than the one we visited at Gien Sur Loire last year.
Friendly staff, cleanliness excellent. Take away food good quality and not expensive. Have stayed twice and will return. Location fabulous!
Very Good site in the Loire. Very clean, good facilities, near to the delightful Cheverny, between Tours and Orleans what more could you need and of course excellent Cycle/walking.
Site convenient to visit Loire. Site quite busy when we arrived so choice of pitch restricted. Toilet block was generally clean but washing up area a bit scruffy. Pool was quite small.
Fantastic base for visiting the Chateaux in the area. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Facilities are very good with plenty of showers/toilets. Crazy golf course, dog walking area with a mini assault course and good size swimming pool. Food very good and bar area cosy and accommodating. Reception area full of information and staff very knowledgeable and helpful. Wifi and a computer to use in a communal room near bar. Shop on site full of necessities. Bread and croissants can be ordered each day. Amateur fishermen will like the small lake full of catfish and a few elusive carp. All the pitches are a very good size and roadways large enough for even the biggest motorhome. Site provides ready erected tents and mobile homes plus safari tents. Facilities such as washing machines and dryers available in shower blocks. The best part of this site is Laurent the owner who welcomes us as old friends each year we go and helps us with booking a vet for our dog prior to the return to blighty.o
