Camping in a green valley on the Loire with Château de Sully-sur-Loire only a stone's throw away...what more could one ask for? It is all possible at Le Jardin de Sully, a quietly situated, modestly equipped campsite on the north bank of the Loire river. Here you will find spacious, green pitches with attractive vegetation. A region of tranquillity and nature, ideal for exploring on hiking and cycling trips.

Spacious, shaded pitches

The campsite offers eighty spacious, quiet and mostly shaded touring pitches on the bank of the Loire. The amenities are modest, but good. There are some thirty rental accommodation units (bungalows, chalets, mobile homes, trekker huts) in various prices. These are simply, but adequately furnished.

Colourful swimming pool

At the front of the campsite is the attractive and child-friendly swimming pool (only open in July and August). It has a creative and colourful design. Children of all ages can safely swim and play in the two heated pools. There is a shallow pool for the little ones.

The Loire is within walking distance and has a sandy beach. In high season the campsite organises dance evenings and entertainment for children. There are wonderful cycling and canoe routes which start from the campsite. More information is available from the reception.

Bites and drinks

There is a camping shop with small range on Le Jardin de Sully. It has a special corner with regional products, though. Larger shops are not far from the campsite, for instance in Saint-Père-sur-Loire. The restaurant has a basic menu and an attractively furnished terrace. It consists of a wooden deck and has a few sun umbrellas.

"Very quietly situated campsite with spacious plots and lots of attention for the vegetation. Natural region, directly on the banks of the Loire. Great starting point for light hiking and cycling trips in flat area. Several castles, towns and villages with area attractions. Sully has a nice Centre."

Liked - Nice site but in need of maintenance
Disliked - The site is looking a little run down. Most toilets were locked off so although the site was busy, all campers were using a small number of toilets

Liked - We have stayed here on ten occasions, and each time we see an improvement. The setting on the River Loire is first rate, and it is perfect for our dog too. This year there is new management - just as welcoming and helpful as before.

Liked - We thought the washing block was excellent- very clean and we especially liked the section that was heated with toilets and showers etc. This area also had an area for bathing infants which we thought especially useful. As a whole the campsite was very pleasant with lots of mature trees and hedging. Shade was good.
Disliked - The washing-up area in the evenings had a motion sensor on the lighting which kept needing to be activated.
