You will find Camping de l'Ile in the village of Ranchot, not far from Besançon . As the name already suggests, this campsite is located on an island. In this case, the island in question is situated on the Doubs river. On this peaceful campsite, you can enjoy the greenery between the river and a shaded park.
Camping with a view
You arrive at a campsite which lies in the middle of nature, surrounded by trees and the two arms of the Doubs river. The pitches are spacious and vary in size. Most guests come here to enjoy the natural surroundings. For example, to go fishing or take long cycling or hiking trips in the beautiful environs. Many of the pitches are situated right at the water's edge.
The restaurant serves delicious regional specialities, such as 'goujonette de truite' and 'fondue à la cancoillotte’. The restaurant is open daily in July and August and regularly hosts evenings featuring themed meals (such as paella, couscous or fried mussels).
All kinds of activities
Camping de l’Ile offers various activities such as canoeing, paddleboarding, table tennis, petanque, fishing and cycling and hiking trips. You will also find a climbing wall and a multi-sport field nearby. Do you want to explore the surrounding area by yourself? You can rent bikes (including tandems) at the campsite. There are also canoes and paddleboards available for rent.
Shopping in the area
There is a bakery less than a hundred metres from the campsite. Not only can you find daily fresh bread here but also other basic groceries. An even larger supermarket is located three kilometres further away.
