In the mountains of the Jura, in the east of France, you will find the Camping Municipal du Champs de Mars. This mountainous area is a hiking paradise in summer and a fine winter sports area in winter. You'll camp here on an open and well-organised campsite, where the spacious pitches offer a lot of freedom. The wooden chalets give you a beautiful view over the campsite.

Tranquillity and freedom
Due to the large and open lawns, the gently sloping, clearly laid out campsite exudes tranquillity and freedom. The terrain is beautiful and orderly, without too much fuss. Part of the pitches, scattered over the lawns, receive shade from the trees. At the top of the campsite, ten wooden chalets overlook the terrain. Some of these chalets are also accessible to disabled people. The chalets are perfect for a camping holiday in summer, but also for a winter holiday. In addition to the regular pitches, there are a few pitches especially for camper vans.
Lakes in the area
A swimming pool is missing on the campsite. However for swimming you don't have to go far; in the immediate vicinity are several lakes. For example, a 10 minutes drive ten minutes in southern direction brings you at the Lac de l'Abbaye. Fifteen minutes in the other direction you’ll find Lac d'Ilay and two lakes of Maclu. You can not only swim in the lakes, but the surrounding wooded mountains are fantastic for hiking and bike rides. From the mountain at Le Grand Maclu you have a beautiful view over the lakes and the surrounding area.
