Travelling party: Couple

Quite an expensive site, but it has a lot going for it. Lovely location alongside a shallow river, very scenic location and easy walking/cycling access to Anduze which is a great little town with markets, shops restaurants etc. The staff are friendly and helpful. Some of the sanitaires are a bit tired and they don't do luxuries like toilet seats! The pool area is nice and the restaurant has a good selection of 3 course meals every evening.
This is not a factory campsite like some in the Yelloh chain, but maintains a nice balance between proper camping and facilities for children and entertainment. This is my second visit and I'd happily return.

We found this campsite very pleasant and right by the river which you and your dog can swim in. You have to pay a little bit more for a pitch by the river but our pitch was back one row, very good size, right by the sanitaires and easy access to the river and cost usual ACSI rate. We found the staff very helpful actually and although we didn't eat at the restaurant, lots of other people did and it looked very delicious. Internet is free up by the bar or reception area. It's an uphill walk by quite a busy road into town but worth it as Anduze is a very nice town with an excellent market on Thursdays. When we were there all the toilet blocks were open and well maintained so can't comment on that. They have big plans to rebuild the swimming pool area before next summer.

Very pleasant area, nice town. Campsite facilities not satisfactory. Only one unisex toilet/ shower block open next to reception, all other blocks not just closed but unusable for the foreseeable future. Queues each morning especially during cleaning time (9a.m.). Cleaning was perfunctory. WiFi was free but did not work across site as advertised, just in bar area. Pitches were congested, partly due to lack of toilet facilities. Cash only payments. Similar comments were made last year, apparently, no improvement.

Travelling party: Family with children, 12 - 18 years

Camping is echt verwaarloosd.

Travelling party: Couple

This campsite advertises itself as 3 star which is not accurate. Toilet facilities are poor, not cleaned regularly and some without toilet paper. Restaurant basic and food not great quality, we ate once at lunch time and food was not freshly cooked. Camping pitches including comfort are subject to flooding as we experienced in a heavy storm which the region is subject to. Site advertises as having WIFI, very misleading as only available at bar. Will not accept credit cards and want cash up front! Management were rude and uncaring when confronted with any complaint... they deffinitely don't know the meaning of customer care... Anduze is beautiful, CASTLEROSE is not!

Travelling party: Group of friends

Location spectacular. Surroundings fantastic, Anduze beautiful.
This camping is not 3 star! Dirty toilets. No wifi just near bar. Food in restaurant not good, staff in restaurant very good. Some dog owners don't clean up after their dog. Why bank cards not accepted do not understand... and why cash up front? Are they afraid you will want to leave? Management bad.

Travelling party: Seniors

Good swimming in the river, the pitches downstream from the entrance were much quieter as families with children tended to camp nearer play facilities. Our Dutch neighbours had been camping at this site for 20 years ! Easy access to places of interest.
