This modest, attractive campsite is situated in a non-touristy, green and hilly area in the town of Liverdun, north-west of the interesting city of Nancy. The site of Camping de la Moselle is beautifully situated on a loop of the Moselle, next to a sports and recreational field. You have a lovely view of the castle of the medieval Liverdun.

Hearty reception

This is a former municipal campsite, extensively renovated by the Quinot family and lovingly managed by them. You will notice straight away that the owners have implemented several original ideas, for instance a lowered desk for disabled persons. The campsite makes a well maintained impression.

Where is your pitch?

The 192 touring pitches are fairly spacious (70-140 m2), non-demarcated and have a grass surface. The paths running alongside are not hardened with gravel, but are made of loamy sand. The trees offer a fair degree of shade. The grounds have been partly raised. There are separate pitches for the disabled and there are four rental accommodation units.

Activities galore

There is a small, oval-shaped, sunny swimming pool (water at chest height) on the campsite, safely fenced-off. Cyclists and mountain bikers are pampered here with special facilities (bike rental and a breakdown service point). Walkers and other nature lovers will also spend a wonderful holiday here. There is playground equipment for the little ones and nearby sports facilities.

Making dinner or going out?

When you want to do your own cooking, you can get your supplies in the small campsite shop. Expect a limited range. However, fresh bread is available on a daily basis. There is a small restaurant, with breakfast service, a bar and a cosy terrace.

Liked - Mooie omgeving, rustige schone camping, mooie plaatsen.
Disliked - De verkeersdrempels in de omliggende dorpen voordat je de camping bereikt. Dit is echt vervelend als je met de caravan rijdt.

Liked - Vriendelijke ontvangst, prima restaurant, lekkere koffie to go voor onderweg, leuk tentje om crèpes/hotdogs te halen. Sanitair was goed, toiletpapier is voorzien, maar hangt buiten de toilet hokjes. Het was vol op de camping, gelukkig hadden we gereserveerd!

Travelling party: Young couple

Liked - De ligging is mooi, in een dal aan de moezel. Vanaf de camping is een leuke wandelroute het middeleeuwse dorpje Liverdun in. De ligplekken zijn ruim en mooi verdeeld over een bomenrijk veld. Kleinschalig, dus alles goed loopbaar naar de 2 verschillende sanitair gebouwen en receptie. De kwaliteit van het restaurant is prima voor als je een dagje geen zin hebt om zelf iets te regelen.
Disliked - De hygiëne van het sanitair gebouw was erg matig. Wellicht dat de camping een soort doorstroomvolk trekt wat het minder belangrijk vindt om het netjes te houden... tandpasta op spiegels, etensresten in de wasbak, vuile vloeren die niet worden aangetrokken etc.
De kwaliteit van het brood/croissantjes leek wat fabrieksmatig, soms wat oud.
De receptie heeft het erg druk, doet ook de bediening in het restaurant. Op zich waren ze elke keer wel vriendelijk, of probeerden ze dat, maar het kwam allemaal niet heel relaxt over.
