The campground of Les Breuills is located just outside of the city of Verdun, by a river. The campsites are separated by high hedges, so the guests have plenty of privacy. The most beautiful sites are on the large fish pond. The farther you are from the busy swimming pool, the more peace and quiet you'll enjoy. There are sites with lots and little shade in a 5.5 hectare park.
Passers-through choose this easy to reach campground, because it is a great spot for visiting the memorials from the First World War. There are special campsites for disabled people.
Popular swimming pool
Upon arrival you will be pleasantly surprised by the large heated pool in the sun. Note: limited opening times. The swimming pool with slide is also used by the residents of Verdun, so it can get really crowded.
The French owner will welcome you at the reception. Here you will also find the reasonable restaurant with a large terrace and a shop with the most popular groceries and a bread service. The restaurant has a small menu. Children love the great playground. Facilities such as a multi-sports complex, beach volleyball court, jeu-de-boules pitch and ping pong table are all on site.
Plenty to do
You'll meet people from France, Britain, Germany and the Netherlands on the campground. Seniors interested in history love to stay here. There is a lovely lake with a beach within cycling distance. You can paddle a canoe along the Mass and there is a paintball centre in Thierville. In Consenvoye you can ride on the old rails with the vélorail bikes and go to Verdun for carting adventures.

We stayed on this site first weekend of July 2016. Staff lovely and helpful. However we shall not be retuning because of the toilet facilities. Clean but no seats or paper! Come on guys we are in 2016 not 1916, lets have a bit of comfort. It was also the most expensive site during our 1200 mile trip. It is worth noting that you need an extra long lead as some pitches have a long stretch to the electricity point, we had to choose a different site to the allocated one, but have never had the problem on other sites.
In high season the female toilets were unfinished and half of them out of use. A small toilet block was filthy. Overall the toilet/washing facilities were quite inadequate for this size of campsite. Those which were working were of below standard cleanliness - a marked contrast to all other sites we have stayed in. I have no wish to return, despite its closeness to Verdun centre.
We stayed for one night in August 2017 good size pitch, friendly staff, but definitely lack of cleanliness.Footpath around sanitary in potholes our son fell because of this.Toilets doesn't have seats no paper. Men's toilets doesn't have any privacy urinals doesn't have any doors.Quite noisy as train tracks near the campsite.Swimming pool good with slide. Showers not clean.
Nicely wooded site with hedged grassy pitches by a fishing pond. Outdoor swimming pool (not yet open). Restaurant open in the evenings.
A good price with the ACSI Card, including free WiFi, though it wasn't working. The staff were apologetic, waiting for 'Orange' to come and fix the problem.
Well placed for visiting Verdun and the WWI battlefields and memorials.
The facilities let the site down. The shower block is in dire need of renovation and we didn't use it. The female toilets were closed. The male toilets had no seats, no paper, and lacked privacy.
A lovely municipal site outside Verdun. A good 15 minute walk into town. Lovely pool, small lake to walk around. Great self-guided tour of Verdun from Tourist Office.
Stayed here with my partner as a overnight stop travelling back to England. Reception staff was extremely welcoming and helpful. Provided us with a map for directions to our pitch. We made our way to the pitch and was pleasantly surprised. We had a pitch right on the lake onsite it was lovely spot. Pitches are separated by high bushes which makes it great for privacy. Shower/toilet facilities were fine shower could do with a little spruce up but it was only a few days before the end of season. The pool area looked very nice. This site is a great little gem. Locally there is loads to see and do and there is a big supermarket nearby. Would definitely recommend this site for stopover or longer.
