An oasis of peace and quiet

The owners say about their campground: "it is a quiet, green family campground." It's true. It is located in the midst of nature with lovely views from your camping pitch, which is always at least 100 m2. There is a wonderful peace, which is "disrupted" in the mornings by the tweeting birds that wake you. In this way, nature lovers and peace seekers have the very best. Tent campers have the most beautiful sites at the edge of a forest. There are two mobile homes, a wooden chalet and two CosoSweet glamping tents for hire.

Play meadow and fresh bread

For children, there are many play options at Les Bouleaux, there is a play meadow with a teeter-totter, trampoline, swing and a climbing frame. One of the two swimming pools is especially for the little ones. The water in the largest pool is heated. There is no campground shop, but you can order fresh bread rolls. You can buy a snack, ice cream or a drink at the bar. You'll find shops in Phalsbourg, two kilometres away from the campground.

The largest ship elevator in Europe

You can take many excursions from the campground. Such as to the "Route du Plan incliné" at Saint-Louis-Arzviller, a 15-minute drive away. There is a 45-metre lift that enables boats to bypass the 17 locks in the Marne-Rhine Canal.

Travelling party: Couple

Quiet site in beautiful location. However that is where the positives end.
Poor shower facilities, blocked drains, water either COLD or TOO HOT.
Went to try out the cuisine de Maison to find work men putting on new roof, very noisy, so can’t tell you what the cafe was like.
All in all not a camping site to be returning to.

Travelling party: Couple

Used this as a stop-over on return from Switzerland to Calais. Great little site with a small pool. Food was limited but really good local food. Toilets adequate although no toilet roll. Great reception on arrival and owner speaks perfect English and helped to make this overnight stay a really nice experience with a very friendly attitude.

Travelling party: Family with children, 12 - 18 years

One of the best camp sites we have visited. Staff were wonderful very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely come back again.

Travelling party: Family with children, various ages

One of the best campsites I have visited in years. The owners and staff were wonderful and very accommodating. We planned to stay for 2 nights but stayed for 7 nights. If you want peace and relaxation this is the place to go. Nearby town of Saveren is very pretty. I would highly recommend this site and will visit again soon.

Travelling party: Couple

Really liked this site and although we only used it as a stopover we\'re planning on coming back next year to use it as a base to explore the area. Very friendly. Although the toilet/shower block itself wasn\'t the nicest, the actual facilities themselves were very good and very clean.

Travelling party: Couple

We have been visiting this site for several years as a stopover on route to Switzerland but it is so lovely we are planning to stay for longer soon. The site is being modernised and every time we visit there is something new but always the same is the lovely friendly welcome.

Travelling party: Couple

Just 1 night here but welcomed by both Remco & Sandy, Both multi-lingual and very friendly. Nice meal at reasonable prices. Didn\'t have time to look around area or local towns, but, this site is very quiet and peaceful with spacious plots. Toilets are okay (could do with a bit of modernisation) Told there might be a pool next year(2016), which would be great as very hot when we were there in early July 2015.
Would visit again.

Travelling party: Seniors

A nice little campsite, with very friendly staff. The facilities are a little tired but still nice and clean. Pitches are a good size and the overall campsite is good. Not a great deal to do in the area though.

Victoria Benson, on this campsite in September 2014

Travelling party: Couple

Extremely welcoming couple at this site, both multi-lingual. Lovely pitches with lots of space. Some pitches can be damp. Left an iPhone outside our van and it was still there on our return.

Rosey Mitchell, on this campsite in June 2013

Travelling party: Seniors

This could be a lovely campsite but was totally spoilt for us by the stench of the drains. Unfortunately we pitched near the shower block, which was like a barn, open to the air at one end. We could not wait to leave as we were feeling nauseated from the smell. The wifi was very complicated to access too.
