The friendly family campsite Seasonova Le Point du Jour is located directly by the sea, near the town of Merville-Franceville-Plage. This is an excellent base for a beach holiday or an active excursion to the magnificent hilly, green hinterland and the attractive small towns with nineteenth-century villas.

Camping by the sea

The pitches of Camping Le Point du Jour are located along paved roads and are demarcated with hedges. There are few or no trees, so the pitches do not have a lot of shade. The nicest pitches are at the seaside. The mobile homes are spread over the campsite, often on the boundary of the grounds.

Sauna and snorkelling

The swimming pool with jacuzzi (150 m2) is covered and is located next to the heated paddling pool (20 m2). You can use the sauna and whirlpool for a fee. The sandy beach can be reached via a dune path from the campsite. In the sea you can practice (and learn) windsurfing, waterskiing, kayaking and sailing. Snorkelling here is also great fun. The area is excellent for a level cycling or walking trip. 

Disco and dance

For children there is a playground and a few times a week also a mini club (English and French).  Everyone will enjoy the disco evenings, irrespective of the language you speak. Hit the dance floor!

Eating establishments

You can order fresh bread from the bar. Near the campsite there are several snack bars for pizzas, French fries, etc. Within walking distance you will find several eating establishments and in the village you can do your shopping.

Liked - Nice spot on tge beach
Disliked - Pool was covered and hot!!!!! Bizarre... bar was tiny, showers where miles away, bins were miles away and toilet waste disposal was miles away.

Travelling party: Family with children, 4 – 12 years

Liked - This is the second time we have stayed here. We stayed for a week before traveling to the Loire Valley.
This site is right on a gorgeous beach and a 10 minute walk along the beach to the town of Merville-Franceville, which has plenty of restaurants, mini golf, fabulous skate park and supermarket. We went to the market in the town which is well worth a visit, huge with lots of choice of food, clothes niknaks.
The site is well maintained eith good sized pitches, and is pretty quiet even in the height of summer.
Disliked - The only downside is the inside bar area could do with a few more tables and chairs, but because the weather was fab most people were say outside.

Liked - We chose this site as it had direct beach access. Our 3 dogs (and us) were in doggy heaven. They loved it, in the water everyday. Walk along the beach into town and good access to cycle routes. Clean facilities. If your into seafood plentiful pickings on the beach. Would definitely stay again.
Disliked - No food facilities on site.
