In the Marais du Cotentin et du Bessin nature reserve, not far from the Normandy coast, lies Flower Camping Le Haut Dick. The quiet campsite is child friendly and has an indoor pool. A short distance away are Omaha and Utah Beach, where you can learn a lot about the 1944 invasion of Normandy.

The Cotentin peninsula, located in northwestern Normandy, consists largely of the Marais du Cotentin et du Bessin Regional Nature Park. This peaceful nature reserve consists of marshlands, moors and peatlands, a varied landscape to be discovered via various walking and cycling routes. Flower Camping Le Haut Dick is located in the heart of this nature reserve, in the town of Carentan. The campsite is near a small marina on a canal that flows into that other, much larger Canal, the sea between France and England.

Camping on the canal

There are 71 well-kept touring pitches. They are both sunny and shady touring pitches, situated on tight grassy fields, many of which are screened by green hedges. Some camping pitches are right on the canal. The same goes for some of the lodge tents. In addition to the lodge tents, you can also stay in a classic mobile home.

Covered swimming pool

Swimming laps in the round pool is not so easy, but playing in the water with your children is much more fun. There is also a small paddling pool. For the safety of the children, it is completely enclosed. Even when the weather is bad, it is still possible to swim, as the sliding roof closes.

Liked - Well situated site in Carentan, with great access to the WW2 sights in the area. We also appreciated the cleanliness of the toilets.

Liked - Very friendly and cooperative owners! Nice atmosphere, real cosy French campsite. Very nice village at walking distance with restaurants, shops, weekly market. Coastal area very nice as well. We had a perfect stay.

Liked - Very good camping, with big and shady pitches. Sanitaire is clean and modern, which is a big plus. Restaurant has enough choice for the average camper and pizzas are very good! Swimming pool is great. Owners are very friendly and always willing to help. Lastly Covid-19 measures have been taken and are clear.
