This a beautifully located campsite. The sea views are amazing and the access to the coastal path for walking is easy. The staff all speak excellent English and are very helpful. We stayed in a cottage (our first time without motorhome or caravan) and found it comfortable. We did find the beds uncomfortable and you do hear noise from next door cabins (especially chairs being moved). The kitchen is well equipped and it was spotlessly clean on arrival. The swimming pools are also spotless. The outdoor pool isn't heated but is best suited to fitness length swimming. The indoor pool is nice and warm but not ideal for people like me who like swimming lengths.
It was a bit too far away for visiting many of the WW2 sites but we did go to Arrogances-les-Bains and Sainte-Mere-Eglise and found them worth the visit.
There are easy walks but not much for cycle paths.
This site is 20 minutes from Cherbourg perfect for first and last site on way home. The site is elevated with sea view. The staff are first class with good English. Very good toilets and shower blocks. The shop, dog walks and swimming pool make for a pleasant stay. Also good pizzas and local French restaurant.
Excellent site, very clean facilities and roomy, good size pitches. well maintained site, great views. Only site we stayed on though that charge for Wi-Fi.
A beautiful campsite in a stunning location. The toilets were very clean and very well maintained. There are a number of different pitches, at different levels, and fantastic views from the upper ones. Definitely worth a visit, and very convenient to Cherbourg
One of the best sites we have visited. Very clean and well-maintained. Large pitches. Pools not large but, at the time of our visit, we often had the indoor pool to ourselves. Staff excellent. Small beach nearby but with bridge over intervening road for safe access. Good coastal walks. Very pleasant bar/pizzeria with sea views. Pity there is a charge for wi-fi and a supplement per night for sea view. But generally well worth the money.
Excellent site with modern, well kept facilities. On site snack/bar has reasonable food, though not a great choice, but the campsite did offer a discount in the restaurant next door. The site and the path to the beach are quite steep in places, but not too bad.
We stayed here for three nights on our way home via the Cherbourg ferry. This site is ideal for both stopovers and longer stay. It is very well situated for an early ferry crossing about fifteen/twenty minutes. The site is situated on the coast road on an elevated position. The pitches are big and the toilet facilities are extremely good, two blocks at different levels. If you have difficulty walking I would select a pitch at the higher level as it is flatter but with better views of the sea. There is the advantage of a big city Cherbourg but there are interesting places to visit all round the peninsular. The restaurant and café takeaway are very good value.
This campsite is well organized. The staff looked professional. The size of the swimmig pools is not big. But, my kids loved the indoor heated pool and the slide. A young lady at the convenient store was very nice and kind. We enjoyed hearing the sound of waves from the near beach, while sleeping.
Stayed here at the end of June 2012 after 8 weeks travelling in France and Spain. This was the best site we stayed at. Great staff, excellent large pitch with sea view, spotless toilets, close to port. All in all first class. But why do they charge for wi-fi when so many sites offer this facility free nowadays?
