Visited the site on 25 June for nine nights in 7 metre motorhome with daughter, son-in-law and 2 year old granddaughter. Decided to opt for premier pitch which has small kitchen area with fridge and two electric plates for cooking and also shower and toilet area. My wife and I slept in motorhome with grand daughter whilst her parents slept in tent. The site has a large area for mobile homes with very narrow roads. Were given a map by reception staff which was useless as we found ourselves driving up a road that was totally unsuitable for motorhome. Eventually found the camping area but there was no pitch number and staff had to attend to show us the right pitch. It was found that the lock to the shower and toilet area was faulty and service staff had to attend to unlock the door. We were promised that the lock would be repaired the following day but that never happened. The pitch surface consisted of stones, soil and dust. Loads of dust. Every time the wind blew it was like being in a desert storm. Clothing was continually dirty. Our grand daughter had to be showered every time we wanted to go out and the motorhome was covered in dust both inside and out. In the end we had to throw away her shoes as they were ruined. I cannot believe that a campsite rated as 5 star is quite happy with these conditions. For the price we paid we thought it was disgusting. Will never visit this site again!!!
