In the valley of the Lot, directly on the banks of the river and near the medieval Saint-Cirq-Lapopie, you will find Camping Restaurant de la Plage. Here you can camp on a touring pitch between the trees and at the water's edge. Via a small gate you reach the beach and the river. The campsite is a real family campsite with lots of entertainment: from volleyball tournaments to movie nights.

Camping in the green

Because of the many greenery and full trees, the campsite looks a bit like a park. Between the trees are about a hundred touring pitches. Your pitch is nicely sheltered between hedges and shrubs. Some overlook the river or the rocky plateaus that surround the Lot valley. In addition to touring pitches, you'll also find some rental accommodation on the campsite. These safari tents and bungalows are not particularly new anymore, but are well maintained.

Swimming in the river

The location of the campsite is his business card. From the campsite you walk through a gate to the beach on the Lot. All children are equally safe: in front of the gate you need a code, while the beach is guarded. You can take a nice dive in the river, but you can also go up the river by canoe or pedal boat. By the way, you have to share the beach with day trippers from the neighborhood.

Restaurant with regional products

At the front of the campsite is the restaurant. Not for nothing this is called in the camping name: it may be small, but the food is delicious. The menu is quite extensive: you can go there for a three-course dinner, but also for a tasty homemade pizza.

Travelling party: Seniors

Liked - Delightful camping next to river beach. Good sized pitches most with shade. Clean facilities. Lovely area with plenty to see and do
Disliked - Some confusion about our pitch allocation. The electricity point was too far away. It was very small although I have given the size of our tent, and booked months ago. There were a lot of empty pitches, so why give us a small one away from the electricity point?

Travelling party: Seniors

Liked - The area was stunning campsite ok but too shady
Disliked - Reception not helpful site was booked for 5 nights although we only turned up for 3 we did not get a refund for the two nights we did not stay but we’re not expecting it . However my initial email stated two adults and the receptionist insisted we only booked one adult even the the reply was addressed to both myself and my wife . However she still charged us a further 16 euros for the extra person. Also we were given a very small pitch which turned out to be already occupied which the receptionist Brad no idea about altogether we did not feel welcome . The pitch too was too shady and dark

Liked - Lovely quiet campsite beside river. Lots of shade as handy due to heatwave at time of visit.

Liked - Large, shady pitches; super clean facilities; lovely hot showers; beautiful riverside location; nice on-site restaurant and riverside bar/pizzeria. Friendly, helpful staff. Lovely walks from the site and easy (steep!) walk up into the beautiful village of St Cirq-Lapopie. Great beach on the River Lot, with supervised swimming.
