Another quality Les Castels site. Relaxing, reasonably spacious, nice bar and restaurant area in the evening. Great staff. Local town has a huge supermarket. Would go again.
The route to get here is a bit of an endurance and quite narrow in places. The site is easily found and is at the top of a long steep hill and some considerable distance from anywhere. We decided it wasn\\\'t a place for our motorhome to make daily outings from so stayed a night. Be warned that the entrance to the site past reception is Very narrow. The site itself is well laid out with excellent pitches, very clean unisex facilities with separate showers, loos, vanity cubicles. Excellent pools and some first class views.
We stayed here 2 weeks a couple of years ago. Firstly sat nav took us around the back of the site (other side of the hill) down a narrow lane. Not ideal with large twin axle caravan in tow. Finally having made it to site, we were faced with getting the van past reception. Another reviewer has mentioned narrow through road. It is a bit nerve wracking when there are pedestrians pushing past regardless of anything. The pitch was not well maintained. Paid for bigger pitch, and whilst this was the case, there was a tree in the middle of it, so positioning van difficult. The location of our pitch was great for all the services, but that also meant that it was the main thoroughfare for anyone going to their pitch on this side of the site. Pool is great and kept kids entertained for hours. The kids club was not really aimed at English kids so ours only went a couple of times. Restaurant and takeaway were v good and we felt excellent value for money. Niggle was the onsite disco which runs until the early hours. Whilst you cannot here anything going on, you are woken by people heading back to their vans at 2-3 in the morning with little regard for those around them. We won\'t come back, even though a nice site it is a bit in the middle of nowhere and a good drive to see all the big tourist sites in the Dordogne.
