We were a little worried when arriving at the site as 1st impressions aren't the best! However we were not dissapointed once we had our pitch!
Decent size pitch with water close by - lots of plants and shrubs around the pitch to keep your privacy.
Most people where there for a couple of days so there was not too much coming and going which made it even more peaceful.
Toilets and showers quite new and regularly cleaned. Snack bar by the pool although we didnt use it.
Washer on site for only a small amount!
Town (Soreze) is very pretty to walk around with mini super to pick up fresh groceries. Lovely views from a walk up behind town to the orientation table at the top (worth the mile and half hike)
Would stay again!
Nice site and friendly staff. Watch the road on the way in as it leads passed the fire station and may be busy if your a long vehicle. A bit noisy late evenings as the town sports facility is right behind the site. Got caught in a wind storm that runs though this area from time to time so watch your roof lights.
This is a lovely site on the edge of a very old and interesting village. Excellent food shopping available just a few minutes away. Pitches are good with shade and toilet facilities were excellent. Loved it here and if in the area again will definitely return.
Smallish well maintained campsite in the village of Soreze with friendly owners and staff. Grassy hedged pitches. Toilet block has hot but non-controllable showers, toilets had seats and toilet paper. There was also free wifi, a lovely pool, and small bar with terrace.
A lovely area for walking and cycling. They have a folder of walks in the reception which they photocopy walks as required. There is a Super U within walking distance on outskirts of village.
Friendly french owners who speak very little English. Toilet/shower facilities not very clean and need renovating. Take away menu on site very limited choice. Site located in village near small council road maintenance yard, backing onto large publis football playing field.
A well maintained site with large, flat, shady pitches separated by hedges. Friendly, helpful staff. Limited English. Town of Sorèze easy 5 minute walk away for patisserie; limited choice of bars and restaurants. Large supermarket on edge of town. Well worth visiting Castelnaudary (Canal du Midi, numerous good restaurants), Carcassonne (very touristy but unmissable), Bassin de St Ferreol (beautiful lake, large picnic areas, circular walk around the lake, nearby restaurants), Bassin de Lampy, Barrage de Galaube (good walking country).
A friendly family run site, excellent separate sanitaires, food not great but wine good and cheap. Free wifi but you need to be near reception. A good centre for exploring the area and Sorèze itself interesting. The community football pitch next door gets used in the evening but was not too intrusive. We will use this site again.
We like campsites that are in towns so it is easy to visit once our campervan is sited. This is a lovely site that fits that bill. The staff were very helpful and the facilities excellent. There was even disposable toilet seat covers as well as toilet paper. The campsite is very well maintained with nice mixed shrubs and hedges separting pitches some with hard standing which was most welcome as it has been really wet in France this year. Town small, but interesting and well worth a visit. An amazing carpark at the back of it more like a park than a carpark with seats and bushes. The views from the carpark are beautiful and for once we could enjoy them with sunshine. Good small local supermarket as well.
Small site, but good size pitches, very friendly, excellent free wifi, spotless facilities. You can walk into historic village.
We only found this site by chance, but it was well worth the visit. Spent a week there and would go back again, as the surroundings of the site are so good. The town is wonderful with its old narrow streets and architecture.
Surrounding countryside is also very good, with many small villages to explore, as well as some local lakes. The area around Black Mountain is well worth the visit.
The staff at the site were not fluent in English, but had a very good understanding of the language and were pleased when an effort was made to communicate with them in French.
Work was being done to enhance the site at time of visit.
Only downside could be noise from adjacent sports complex - this site used to be a municipal one.
