Ideal site for catching the ferry at Calais (about 1/2an hour). Nice little tow to walk to with a lake and a couple of good little cafes ( about an hour steady walk). The owners very friendly and toilets very clean

We use this site on a regular basis as it is handy for the train/ferry and also the vet is five minutes away in the car. The site has improved greatly since the new owners took it over four years ago. It is a small, peaceful site with all pitches marked by hedges. Bread etc can be ordered of the mornings. The food in the restaurant is good, cooked to order with good portion.

Very good site. Great location. We used it as a ‘stop over’, but it’s definitely worth staying a few days. Very clean. Toilet facilities excellent. Well laid out. Well signed and easy to find.

We booked this as a convenient stop for our final hop to the Eurotunnel to end our French adventure. And what a lovely site it is. Quiet, compact, with facilities, (toilet and showers, bins, chemical toilet) that are, or look brand new. Everything is clean. Beware though, no toilet paper, so don’t get caught out. There is a restaurant and games room which had wifi service, but there is no Wi-fi service at your pitch. The pitches are all various sizes and mixed in with plots for privately owned caravans as well as holiday chalets and caravans. At the rear of the park, where we stayed, there is a long playing area with a small park for children, and the inevitable pétanque areas, along with some picnic benches for everyone’s use. All the pitches were mowed, and tidy, and there are taps at intervals throughout the pitch. There is a washing area for clothes with a washing machine that takes tokens, but unfortunately no dryer or public washing lines, so our hopes of making a start on the holiday washing were dashed. The lady who booked us in was lovely, and spoke good English, and very friendly, going out of her way to make sure that we had the pitch we wanted, (one out of the way as we have a rather large GSD who can frighten people without even trying, even though he’s an old softie). The Restaurant is only open between 6pm and 8pm currently as it’s early in the season, and we didn’t get to try it out this time, as we had stocked up the fridge. We’ll certainly try it next time, as it’s a great stop off point for going on holiday or the return journey. Well worth a visit.

Here we are again this is a brilliant place for a last stop over before Calais this is our 5th year running and it never disappoints us the young girls who run this site are fantastic nothing is too much trouble we have eaten at the on site restaurant this year for the first time and the food and service was fantastic and great value for money the toilet block has to be the best on our trip round France it’s spotless pitches are a great size also a vets close by and the girls even booked us an appointment there is a super marche at the end of the road about a 5 min cycle it’s a safe and very quiet place to spend your last couple of days in France 10 out of 10 a real gem

Lovely safe campsite near to tunnel and ferry. We chose this campsite as we read warnings about stolen bikes while you sleep in Motorhome/car parks near Calais. This camp site is only 25 mins from Calais and well worth the extra time to feel safe and secure. It has beautiful big pitches with your own hedges, spotlessly clean showers as toilets with toilet paper! Great little bar serving home made food. The 2 girls are very friendly, speak good English and cannot do enough to help you and ensure you have a great stay. This campsite will definitely been on our stopover list. We stayed and extra night after a long journey from Spain and so glad we did we cycled around the area, lovely little town with shops and cafes near 2 lakes Auchen is only 2 mins away to stock up with food and fuel. What more could you ask for?

A great stop over before or after the tunnel/ferry crossing. Very friendly, free WiFi though you may need to walk to reception area for good signal. Roadside walk into Ardres a lively town. Vet nearby for pets, can order bread from reception most days
